I recently upgraded my dual cab Hilux from a 92 LN106, white, sunraysias, snorkel, alloy tray, 250km, fair condition sold for $11K after spending a lot on it, and $2K for roadworthy - to a 97 LN106 with 90km, perfect condition, canopy, wheels, UHF, etc for close to $17K.

This is about the two ends ...

I think I paid $20 for the air box from the wreckers, an extra $10 for hoses, the new filter was $33 or something, bolts, clamps, drills and paint I had.

$20 sounds cheap for the airbox compared to some. :lol:

I will post some photos next time I get a chance.

Just completed the installation of a surf air box into 96 hilux diesel. Got an airbox out of 2LTE from the wreckers and a new filter for it from Repco. Its the one that sits up at an angle on top of the mudguard. First, I cleaned engine bay, removed the old one and all pipes, took off inner guard ...
