cant lose the bottom bits as the chassis extensions are down there.

weighs the same as the other bumper

its mainly 3mm.

its all suspension lift.

i love my plasma cutter, make it up out of card first, then cut it out.

must get on with some more later.

the front of the bumper is going right down to the winch yet.

hmmm.

we run them over here like that and they perform really well.

but i suppose we have less severe terrain than you do, ours is mainly mud, so we don't get much in the way of snatch on the axles.

its a common swap over here.

the baleno engine is basically the same as a vit engine, cos i got one in my vit.

i needed to mod the sump pan and move the oil pick up pipe.
thats all.

the axles are as they came off the truck.

defo an 84 lux.

all i know is that the rear axle is a lot narrower.

well it works ok.

they lock the drop arms up for on road driving.

i hear it drives quite well.

i run fedima tyres, simex copys.

fan bloody tastic in the mud.

not bad on road either.

i didn't know that one.

mine are just stock 84 hilux axles.

the hilux rear axle is3 inches narrower than the front, don't ask me why.

the front axle is the same size as a stock vit one.and the spring perches line up with the chassis rails almost spot on.

makes fitting leaf springs easier.


though i plan on a coil conversion next year.

vitara t case joined to a sammy one.

works very well

body lift is coming off soon.
i wanted 37's but they are way out of my price range.

i went leaves cos it was simple to do.
the mounts all line up with the chassis rails, though i had to extend the front chassis to accept the front of the springs.
only took 18 hours to swap the axles over.

8 body mounts in a lwb.
6 are welded to the floorpan and 2 under the headlights are just long bolts.
also 4 spacers under the body.
depends on how high you are lifting it
2 inch and there are no real probs.
3 inch and you need to extend the gear levers, fuel filler, brake pipes.

i took mine out and threw it in the back of the garage.

oh i forgot to mention the twin t case set up i made as well.
using a vit t case and a sammy one.
lots of gears now.
