Re: WILL MY TURBO WORK?

I have the same turbo on my TD42 it will work, it will be a bit laggy.
It will be a major upgrade on a NA TD42.

My pump is maxed out it will make 3 psi boost from 1400 RPM and 18 psi at 2500-2700

Re: et2's on sand

I had mine on the beach about 10 times while I ran them and they did very well for an aggressive tyre. I ran them at between 10-12 psi depending how soft the sand was and never lost a bead. You need to remember that if you stop going foward then don't spin the wheels as they dig in fast, I could ...

Re: GQ to GU diff swap Question

GU box is a straight bolt on replacement all the hoses and mounts are the same.

The GU box is a little taller but dosn't hit anything, I had to modify my intercooler hose to refit it.

I've been running a chinese TO4E for over 2 years and 30K running 18 psi, had no problems at all.

It was installed with the correct oil line restrictors, the seals don't weap and it shows no sings of endfloat.

I am happy with my $300 investment, not everything chinese is crap.

33's and a 4" lift

No 33's and a 4" lift isn't going to be legal in QLD.
Make sure your flairs cover the tyres and you have mudflaps and don't drive like a toss

I drive a GQ 5" lift and 35" and don't attract the wrong sort of attention from the cops.

at 110km making 5-7 psi running 400-450C pre turbo pushing 35" simex. Towing seem to make little to no difference.
I'm assuming your temps are after the turbo?

I have fixed this problem before, there is a poly fitting on the coverter that isn't plumbed to anything. This fitting is how the converter senses the air pressure, it is picking up the engine bay pressure. The air ramed down the snorkel is pressurised a bit this is enough that the engine won't idle ...

84 jackaroo engine swap

Hi

A mate has a 84 Jackaroo 4 cyl Petrol with a cooked motor. I was wondering if the motor is the same as the izuzu motor that was in the early gemini's as I have a good motor, they look quite similar.

Any experance?

Thanks

If you give it a good sanding first you can sometimes get away spraying acrylic primer over enamel paint if you mix it dry and dust it on, it still sometimes reacts. If you sand out the area that reacts and respray the primer you can usally get a covering.

Had a seach and found that I need to get a V6 navara LSD carrier.
