Cutting to fit 33's
G'day all, Got an '89 sierra, spoa fitted. Done a bit of searching... My new tires hit the bull bar mounts when they turn. I'm assuming i get the angle grinder out and cut the outer mounts off to allow for the bigger tires? It has a ARB bar on it to, then same thing with the brackets on that? Stupid ...

Gday all, this question has probobly been asked shitloads, but..... Are the Mavericks the same vehicle as the patrol? In terms of gearbox's, diffs etc. I hear all good things about patrol running gear, and my boss is looking at a maverick this weekend. Then a LS1 chev is going in it. So is the mav ...

1.6l carby on 1.3l engine? is it a bolt up?
g'day folks, My mate is currentlt getting his 1.3l sierra engine rebuilt. I heard about putting a 1.6l vitara carby on it would be a good option for torque increase, while leaving the standard exhaust manifold, but opening up the rest of the exhaust. the other option of course is to use the standard ...

I went camping on the weekend with a couple of mates, one has a dual cab lux, (an old farm worker from his farm so it is already pretty bashed up). He had 2 dirt bikes in the back with the tail gate down. Tarp, jerry cans, gear bags etc. all tie down nicely under and between bikes. Then for other ...

What year did IFS arrive on hilux's?
I am getting way to many different answers on this question from people, does anyone know when: The xtra cab lux went to IFS? The Dual cab went to IFS? was it different depending on models? diesel/petrol or sr5 etc.? A mate of mine is looking for one, but he wants a live front axel. Preferably a ...

Where can i get a V6 diff?
G'day people, my diff has just given up on me the other day. I have a '98 V6 estate wagon, 2.0l 5spd. This is the squareish looking one. The rear diff just shat itself and i need to replace it as soon as possible. I've tried calling most wreckers in melbourne and no one has one, so thought you guys ...

Fuel consumption Q's?
G'day all, Just recently the 'old girl' (mum) has been commenting on the amount of time she spends at the servo. Don't get me wrong, we're not bitching about the running costs of the cruiser, but just curious if this is the same for everyone? We have a 100series petrol. (biggest mistake, we regret ...

offroad ability of suburbans??????
G'day all, my boss is thinking of buying a suburban as his next car. He asked me if i knew anything about them offroad wise, which i dont. So, if anyone knows anything about them i would love to hear it so i can pass it on. He is not intending to do serious off road, more touring/family camping but ...

G'day all, My mate has an '89 sierra that has been a bloody great toy. Although when i told him to top the oil up, he really topped it up!!!! I'm talking to the top of the rocker covers, i guess he figured it was topped up! Any way, no need to say what happened in the next few months..... the engine ...

yeah, i did hear that they can cause headaches, but the main problem was the inlet manifold doesn't flow effeciently. does this makes sense? apparently you can get the manifold flowing well and it should make a big difference? i don't know too much though. any companies you know of may be able to ...

improving a 100series engine?
G'day all, Lucky for me my old man owns a 100series cruiser with a whole host of touring options. He is contemplating putting an extractor/exhaust system with a finer air filter on it aswell. Does anyone have this done already? Are the increase in power/torque noticeable, or worth the cash? What ...
