Air conditioning no longer cold.
Hi, when I had my air conditioning working it was really cold & good. But just over a year now it no longer works & before that I barely used it. I've taken it to my mech who tested it by pumping in a gas with some dye but there didn't appear to be any leaks. He put some gas in the air con &...

Re: Shaking steering wheel - death wobble fixed!
Hi all, Finally fixed my own problems by diagnosing it myself. Took it to the guys at St Marys & left it there for 2 days. Came back & the guy tells me there's nothing wrong with it! BS, I drove off & the death wobbles were still there, even though an initial inspection showed the wheel ...

Re: Suzuki sierra loses acceleration
If the problem still continues with loss of power/acceleration it could be the fuel pump under the bonnet. Happened to me a year ago, had NRMA check their battery & was good. Shonky auto-electrician replaced my alternator & still had the same problem. Fuel filter was replaced prior to my pro...

Re: Shaking steering wheel & other questions...
The power issues I was having was actually the fuel pump failing. It was the last thing I hadn't replaced after installing a new alternator. Getting death wobbles again. Have done a wheel alignment & balance. Will have to speak to my mechanic again since it's return after only picking my car up ...

Re: fibreglass roof/canopy
Diddy, can you please PM a pic? What year is this suitable for? Enquired earlier today on Mamre RD someone was selling a Daihatsu Rocky canopy but it's a couple of inches too wide & not worth modifying it to fit.

Around $350-$700 isn't it? Depending on the condition. Which state/suburb are you in? I was looking for a canopy too. PM a pic please?

Re: Shaking steering wheel & other questions...
Got it fixed by my original wheel & suspension place in Smithfield NSW. I explained it to the guy & he got my left front tire wheel balanced all done in 30mins for $15! It was more of a wobble & I have a coily 97 model. I've got battery or power issues I need checked on now that I had an...

Shaking steering wheel & other questions...
Hi, Can anyone tell me if it is my suspension that I need checked? I removed my front left tire on my 97 zook once to check something & since then I get the shakes especially if I run in it in 2WD. It feels as though my transfer case starts to shake too = shift stick. I went to a tire place toda...

Re: Window wiper seized up...
I got my car back Sat arvo but no more than 2hrs later I was driving it for less than 30mins & I started getting a lot of steam coming through the air con vents. It was pretty bad & I called up the mech & told him I'm bring it back considering I paid $$$ for the wipers to get fixed. :x B...

Window wiper seized up...
Hi, My wipers seized up a few weeks back. It's been at the local mechanics for almost 2 weeks now! I was able to provide them with a spare wiper motor but that wasn't the problem apparently. They tell me it's to do with the window wiper regulator not allowing it move or the motor do its thin...

I know nothing about car mechanics lol but I do have the Sierra workshop manual. I got quoted $3k for a recon 1.3L engine replacement! I told the mech not to worry about it getting a new engine then. + they said they might need to take a look under the cover to see how much damage there was so I jus...

My Zook died :/
Hi all, I had 4-2-1 extractors fitted 2 weeks ago & a new exhaust put in that cost me $800. Then I made a trip to Cooma in my Zook but the thing is my car hasn't gained much power at all. The only thing I noticed was that I get higher revs & a better rolling start. What sux is I was going up...

Should I get extractors put in for my standard 1.3L engine?
Hi, I have a 97 zook. Someones probably asked this before in the past but I need some suggestions as to whether I should get extractors put onto my standard 1.3L engine. How much more power should I be expecting if I get the extractors put in with the standard engine? How much would it cost to get a...

Hardtops are they all the same?
Hi, I've got a Suzuki Sierra 1997 HT. I had purchased it at auction as a repairable write-off which had been rolled & the entire body needs replacing. Just wondering if an earlier model e.g. 1987 hardtop body would be suitable for replacement? They look fairly the same to me apart from the older...

But the moron won't sell it to me - basically he's stripped the car, which is a repairable write-off. I didn't want the engine etc anyway.

Front end conversion?
Hi all, I'm looking to buy a Sierra that's been rolled I guess. It's a 95 model with damage to front LH panel that needs to be replaced. Minor damage to front RH panel minor. It's a hard top with some damage all round, which could be bogged up I guess with some dent pulling. Any panel beaters out th...
