in the members section there is a hilux with patrol diffs.
Cujov6, posted a few weeks ago i saw it on the last page.
This truck looks very neat and tidy.
Love the way the rear is working and the front looks ok.
Have a look at what he has done, might give you some ideas mud guts.

as chunderlicious said saftey issues, one of my rear axles was stuffed.
A nd while ther out make them like new.
Replace all seals and bearings, and check your centres.
Make sure your front ratios are the same as your rear ratios, sound stupid.

Chunderlicious is about right. I put gq diffs under my lux I spent 1000 on diffs, 600 rebuilding and a mate put them under my lux for 3000. Drive shafts cost me 350 for rear and 250 for front. But you will need the gq shafts and the lux shafts for that price. You will need a bit more for things that...

I put the supperior handbreak on my lux ( runs GQ diffs ).
Was pretty easy to put on, but you need to tinker with it to set it up to work properly.
Great piece of engineering, really happy with it.

If anyone is interested i have pulled my wide track diffs out, i have the whole lot available with the spaces already on the front and ifs hubs installed plus the ifs rear diff. Centres a re 4:1:1.

No i would'nt replace o-ring.
Clean off crap from around diff housing using a solvent cleaner, use blue gasket glue when you put the diff centre back in, thats all i use now.

I have just about finished my gq diff conversion under my lux. Its running on the road but just need a few things to tidy it up. I am running a 4 link triangulated rear with 6 inch springs in the rear. And hillux leaves with 2 inch lift in the front. Had it on a travel ramp last week and it articula...
