Some of the Prados we have been looking at have what I believe to be pretty high Km. We would like as late a model as possible but starting to think an earlier one with less mileage would be better. What is the kilometre lifespan of each type of motor? I'm guessing 300 odd for the petrol, 400 odd ...

Petrol / Diesel? What is the engine life of these. ( Looked at a GXL 2006 diesel today which had 300K . Guy wanted ...

I run a reverse pattern in my hq tonner. B&M shifter. Best thing I ever did for that car. No more slamming it into neutral a 6500. The bracket came with the shifter. You can install the forward shifting bracket ....or the reverse one. They are basically the same but one is inverted, if you know what ...

Those sliders look great. Wanna do some for me.
Be careful not using gussets near the chassis rails.
A decent wack, and they will fold up,and push big dints into your chassis rails.

200kw? Engine or rwkw.
Cant see how you would do it without a turbo.(or nos)
If you go the turbo route, leave the compression low and
up the boost.

sounds way too high ( 14:1 ) to run on pump fuel unless
you are running a fuggin huge cam.
But I'm more holden than jeep.

Rather than fork out thousands on the stroker, force some air into
it with better results allround.

Pre-filter? Do you mean the one on the end of the snorkel?
If so, ditch it unless you're always in the dust. They look shit anyway. :D

Well done on the lift. They do tend to take longer than you think.

the loom under the pass. seat passes through the body and onto the chassis. Just keep a careful eye on all these type of things when jacking the body up. Keep the original body mounts. If you remove theses your 2" bl will only be 1". It is standard procedure to keep the originals in place. .

Disconnect your battery first.
Go real slow while jacking each corner checking for stretched bits :D
Mind your fingers.
Should get it done in a few hours, bar moving sliders/bull bar/rear bar.

ps. keep original body mounts in place

Unless you are wanting a 24v alt. to run winch etc. I can't see the point
as most dual batt. systems are isolated from each other
with ignition off anyway.
What are you up to?

My engine has got 11.1 comp, cleaned up heads, flat top race piston, 1.65 y/t roller rockers, crane 286 cam

Why so much compression on a relatively small hydraulic.
With that comp. should run a solid stick
