Do a bit of research on the NEW T/D Hilux man. I'm sure i saw them on sale for about $31k. The benifits over the older Hilux's are well worth it in every aspect. Of course that's if u can stretch your budget that far. It is only around (approx) seven grand more than what your looking at atm. Just ...

I am planning to replace my Toyota head unit with my sony unit and also a UHF unit sometime in the future. I would imagine u should be able to buy a fascia plate so that there are no gaps when fitting aftermarket head units into your Lux's. I have bought plates for cars i have owned previously which ...

XR Dave, Nice lux mate, Just wondering, how much did that bar set you back, and would they do a unit for the SR luxi without the flares? Also, Would the 31/10.5x15 BFG's fit without the suspension? Thanks mate, Max. Have a look into getting some colour coded flares. I got some front flares put on ...

Would be ideal to find out exactly what oil they use, from what I've heard it's very difficult to get... with these newer technology motors, is it really important to change at every 5,000 kms though? I heard from someone, something about the new common rail injectors are cleaner burning; therefore ...

I personally wouldn't do it yourself unless you can find their "special oil" that they use. Why are you servicing every 5,000 when the D4D has a 10,000 service interval anyways? It also stuffs up your warranty if you don't get the 10,000 service stamped into the book by a registered machanic. Yep ...

Oh your going to love your new Lux mate and yep silver is the best colour. I found organising all the mods through Toyota worked out heaps cheaper. They get it all at dealers rates and then pass most of the savings onto u eg. saved $300 off retail on ARB Winch bar, $100 on spotties etc. Yeah i read ...

In town i stop, start, plant my foot to get into another lane etc. Never thought i would get 8.5/100k's but somewhere close would be good. Oh well as i said, i'll ...

Cranker What tyres are you running on 17" rims? Do you have any suspension mods and do the tyres rub. I'm running 30 10.5 r15 BFG muds on the standard rims but am looking at going to bigger (and better looking!) rims. There isnt too much room in there at the moment! Thanks Troy Hi Troy, I have 265 ...

Got timber floor boards put in 'cause my gear could slide around too much with a steel floor. Looks better anyway :) Got the boards double screwed 'cause with a single screw in the middle, the boards can bow up in the weather. Why timber and a sh!t load of holes in your tub? Rubber matting works ...

yeah i here ya man, Fixing the holes properly seems the easiest. Haven't got the know-how or the gear to do a chassis replacement. I'm thinking i might offer to buy the vehical off my mate and use it for myself. He just wants to get rid of it. Might put some huge lift gear on it and run it in comps ...
