Frontera
G'day. I recently had a frontera stolen and destroyed out at Ipswich. The car was a 95 SWB with 2.0L a/c p.s etc. Everything engine wise and the rear window seemed to be ok, just did lots of little bits of damage which added up to a massive repair bill. The car was written off by AAMI Insurance in ...

2004 RA Rodeo 3.0TD been swimming down on power
OK this is for my brother, any ideas much appreciated. He put a finer filter in his rodeo last week (with snorkel) and did not realise that the air box did not completely seal with the new one on. The point of the story is he has gone 4wding today and taken it swimming. Since then the motor is still ...

rodeo lift
Have heard talk of a 3 inch smart lift for the rodeo's, can you provide information on what this involves, parts and cost. I am also looking to upgrade the suspension and give the vehicle some lift. I am toying with the idea of a ball joint flip and overslinging the rear axle but am not sure if the ...

I have had a similar problem in the past because I mashed my trailer lights bottoming out. Caused all sorts of crazy shit to happen as things shorted through each other, then seemed to re-route themselves everywhere (including radio and indicators).

Fuel
Sounds like the pick up in your fuel tank might have broken, or possible just been shithouse to begin with. Try parking your car somewhere that it runs out of fuel, then disconnect the fuel filter and blow compressed air up the pipe. If the fuel bubbles ?(ie. the pick up is still under the fuel ...

Alternator
Mate i think the best thing you can do is take the 'if it aint broke dont fix it' approach with the alternator because who knows what someone has dont to the truck since it was new, the wiring could be anything but standard. The headlights should have a relay fitted, best bet is to but a workshop ...

RA Rodeo 2004 turbo diesel
My brother has a 2004 model RA Rodeo which he is looking to lift, looking for options. We have spoken to ARB and they say they can get about 50mm front by by repositioning torsion bars but that they rear is only 30mm, this is also using Old Man Emu suspension. Is there a way to get the 50mm from the ...

G'day. Driving a 1990 Single cab Hilux ute with standard leaf spring suspension and pro-comp struts but it has a severe lack of articulation. If it was me i'd be checking out the water pump and if you havent already. Still not sure what the problem is. Might be blocked injectors. I only got back a few days ago so I havent had a chance to look at it yet. Because it runs on gas I dont think it will be a priority either. Worried about the ...

not the cost that i was worried about, just the fact that we were on the side of the highway in forty degree heat and for the first two hours i thought the fraser trip was rooted! I agree i got out lightly, eighty bucks still seems too cheap..
