its the inner axel seal that needs replacing, bout the size of a 20c piece not verry expencive. not hard to replace just behind your cv in the axel tube just pop it out with a screwdriver.will have to replace your cv grease too.

thanks for the help fellas.it's for an lj80 that were swapping all the running gear out of a 1.3 into it, so it should be fine only weighs about 800kg.

is it worth getting the bigger output shaft for a 85 model? and will it fit, it says for 86 to 94 on the lowrange website. will be running 33"s and lockers.

turn your cv's by hand then lock your hubs they should lock up if not its your hubs. or turn your drive shaft by hand and have someone lock it in 4b it should lock up if not its your transfer.

just try not to drop the box on your head.(bloody heavy) seals easy just pop it out with a screw driver and tap the new one in.

Too late :bad-words: i have a crack in between the steering box and panhard mount running parrallel with the chassis.this truck has only had 31" on it and still has a crack. so should i just weld it up and keep an eye on in it? bit worried about running 36" centerpedes on flipped rims. any thoughts ...

I had a endless air, just a aircon pump with a greese nipple tapped into one of the inspection bungs. pulled the exact same pump out of a older commodore.but the endless air cost me $400. not sure on what greese they put in them though.

i'll putting a 5" lift on my 80 this weekend, what should i do to prevent this cracking or just wait till it happens.

the front must be kept stock, or you will mess up your castor. the only way you can move it is to cut and rotate your knuckles. but most of the time you can get away with out doing it. (saggy old stock springs)

Hi mate had the same problem in mine, new syncchros and bearings cost was $1500, but still having trouble changing back to 2 when the gear box is cold :cry:clutch seems fine . might have to try some new oil, think i have the 75/ 90 in it.might try the castrol so is it the vmx80 or the vmx-m thanks ...

3L surf turbo on a 1HZ

just wanted some info, would a 3L surf turbo be big enough to fit on a 1HZ
I have a spare after the surf motor went pop. i know i could adapt it to the exhaust manifold but not sure on oil line pluming, and if it would keep up the right boost.

any thoughts
