My 2000 TD Hilux, as been in the family since new... dad bought ir brand spankin new, and I bought it off him with 430,000kms on the clock, it now has 590,000kms on it (2000 model ;) ) and has been the best car ever!
So reliable, touch wood, still original motor, turbo, injector pump etc. Gearbox ...

Im running baby treps (31in ) on my ifs lux and they are great!! :D
Even on the road, in the wet, they hang onto the road better than standard muddies which I have had before, ie mtr's & bfgs mud terrains.
They are not as noisey as you would expect them to be, even after a few kms.

Bought my 2000 TD sr5 off dad early last year with 420,000kms on the clock (he had it since new and had it regularly serviced), it now has 480,000kms on the clock (including a faultless 6000k trip through the Simpson Desert) and still going fine.
Gearbox was reco'd at 350,000kms, motor or injector ...

I own a 2000 SR5 TD (the 1kz motor).
It was originally dads work car which he bought new.
I bought it off him at 430,000km, and its currently on 465,000kms.
Gearbox was rebuilt at 350,000kms, the motor hasnt been touched yet (touchwood!) and still seems to be running fine.

Im driving a 2000 model hilux now, and the screen slots straight into the top glovebox, as this is where the airbag is fitted on this model as a option.
But since I dont have one, and instead of using it as a 2nd glovebox, its now used to hold the screen.

Even though I cant twist it towards me ...

Cheap way is to buy a HP e-vectra (they run on 12v) and then grab yourself a touchscreen.

Im running the same setup.
A HP e-vectra, hooked up to a 10.4in touchscreen.

Although the e-vectra only has 2 usb ports, so I have used a 7 port usb hub to plug in any extra bits I need.

Got it booked in this morning to get the headlight wiring upgraded. I have 13.8 at both batteries after the car has had a good run. but only 11.4 volts at the H4 plug.

Hi mate, just wonder what problems they found/fixed and the difference it made.
I have just replaced the sealed beams with h4 ...

Mines a Redgum single and I love it! :cool:
Had it for about 6 years now and gets used a fair bit.

I love the option of zipping back the whole top cover which then exposes a full length flyscreen for those warmer nights.

It has a winch bar (possible winch soon), with a standard rear bumper but looking to get a rear wheel carrier on it.

The suspension is sagged a bit and I will be replacing it soon with new springs and shocks.
