Gas air cleaner boxes

G'day guys. Just wondering what everyone is running with a carby tb42 on gas. I have an Impco 300a mixer and that stupid plastic air box that you cannot seal :bad-words: I want to fit a snorkel but not until i fix this issue first. Was thinking maybe something of an old school carby v8. Any info ...

"If you read the text you will find that it does - the Amsoil, uni and K&N were oiled."(QUOTE) ISUZUROVER- I read the info in your text and although it refers to these filters as being the oiled reusuable type I cannot find where in the text does it mention what brand or of how much oil they used on ...

Nice graphs with pretty colours and all but it doesn't state weather or not the foam elements are oiled or not! I wish my two stroke engine would last 1000hrs more like 10hrs before they require a new ring, this is because of how hard they are revving. Have you ever heard of a two stroke being ...

My 2 cents worth. Foam all the way. I haven't seen a motorcross bike made in the last thirty years with a paper element filter on it! And they spend their lives in the dirt. Also on lomg trips uou can pull them out a reclean them.

Why not stroke a 308 to a 383 if its torque you are after? They don't overheat like a chev and weigh about half as much as a clevo. While you are there get a later model injected one and never have to tune the thing again! Thats funny, the latest and greatest aftermarket Holden Style blocks use ...

Hottie monster- Mines the 4.2l petrol. So by all accounts its been swapped for the diesel unit? I just undone the bolts a little and gave it a crack with the plastic hammer and apart it came. Inside theres centrifical grooves running around.
Cheers.

Stay away from HM at all costs. I got a change over Holden v8 to fit to a mates car and couldn't turn the thig over with a 3' breaker bar with the plugs out!! Try Crankshaft Rebuilders in balckburn 98940024 they don't usually assemble but could point you in the right direction.

Take it to a decent machine shop and have it pressure tested! They often crack on the top out of the core pugs and into and around the spring seats for number six cylinder. Also the water jacket holes can corrode and cause it to pressurise the cooling system.

GQ body lift with an auto

I've been reading the bible and faqs on body lifts but can't see anything about autos. Has anyone done one? And are there any nasty supprises to encounter with the auto. Reason for the lift is my 33" MTRs hit the factory flares on full tilt and the missus doesn't want me to start hacking at the ...

I don't quite understand the difference between the petrol and deisel hubs. I managed to seperate the haub on my petrol and fill it with oil. Was i just wasting my time? or has someone already fitted the deisel hub?
Cheers Mick.
