Light Force are now doing the HID upgrade kits that will fit all of there lights for approx $200 per light, making them the best & cheapest HID light on the market. I used to run Rally 4000's, and then Super Oscars, but have found for me that the Light Force 240's are the best, and toughest light I ...

The missus has a 2005 cv sport 2 door. The car is bloody fantastic, nice to drive and for a 2.4 litre 4 cylinder has plenty of poke. The removable seats in the rear are awesome for fitting extra equipment in for weekend camping trips, it even fits the 80 litre engel in the back with room for more ...

As far as lifting you can wind the torsion bars up 2" at the front. Any more than this can create binding in your cv's. An additional 1 inch of lift can be added to this with a ball joint spacer kit. Usually this comes with the diff spacer blocks which brings everything back into alignment. Brake ...

im actually looking at the exact same model/year as yours shamozzle, do you mind me asking what you need(litres) for 100km? ive never liked the idea of a surf because of the 2.4 tds but after a bit of reading the 3L TDs are looking pretty good, just a bit worried about the fuel consumption There ...

Gonna have a go at adjusting mine next week sometime. Pump getting rebuilt next week too. On fuel consumption they're not too bad. anywhere between 10-15l/100k depending on how you drive it. I usually have the roof racks on and the extra weight of the winch, bull bar and other bar work mine tends to ...

On most hiluxs/4runners/surfs there is a dead spot on the temperature gauge. The temp gauge will creep up to half way and no further attention is paid to it. I own a surf fitted with the 1kt-t and what is displayed on the gauge is not what's really happening There is a mod that can be done so that ...

Problem could be coolant seepage, possibly. Could even be the motor not pumping enough refrigerant around the coils fast enough. As a comparison I have an Engel 60Ltr Combi and it sits @ around -25 on the highest setting. Very rarely will it dip below -10 in the freezer compartment. Current draw is ...

Fitted the 110A alternator from a 1HZ. Everything fits fine except for the tensioner bracket, this applies to 1kzt motors but would probably also be the same for other toyota 4 cyl diesels. The tensioner bracket has to be modified in order to get enough swing on the alternator to get proper tension ...

Could also be an electrical problem. The A.D.D is activated via solenoids and unless the A.D.D is engaged the light on the dash will not come on. These have been known to fail. I'd check wiring and connections, could be mud in the connections or corrosion inhibiting the circuit. Next on the list ...

The cruiser Alternator just about doubles the output of the current alternator so all my problems should be solved. Should also make winching easier as well.
