So it shouldn't hurt to put one in considering I am sourcing LPG parts for it. Will the bigger spark give me any improvement running on petrol or am I better off looking for a good quality coil? - or just leaving it alone.

Another HEI question

Hi

Might be a stupid question but is a HEI a good upgrade for an 86 EFI rangie or is it only useful if replacing points.

Thanks

Reco gearbox!!!! Don't tell me that, I thought my truck was a bargain at $1500- ;) Actually it turned out to be a downshift (?) cable that apparently pops out of place and gets stuck when you give it a bootful. The old owner got back in touch with me because he remembered the fault. He hadn't had ...

Yeah, it takes off in drive (and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears on the selector) but stays in first. Sounds like it might be the governor then. Is that a replacement part or does it just take a strip down and clean or a couple taps with a hammer.. I'll look into it anyway....cheers for the answers

RR stuck in first!!

Hi all. Just bought my first RR and may be having dramas already. It's an 86 rr efi vogue and although I test drove it the other day and it was driven to my place working fine, the gearbox (24hours later) seems to be stuck in first gear. It's an auto box (I'm assuming it's a ZF 4speed although my ...

ta for the info

sounds like I might need a rethink.....something to mull over after a couple of beers

although sounds like the 4.4 has actually been fully stripped and rebuilt already....was apparently going into a landy project but was scrapped

cheers

Thanks guys

I can get the 4.4 for a carton and as far as the owner knows there is nothing wrong with it but I'll pull it down anyway.

I like the thought of EFI so I would prefer to go down that path unless it was ridiculously expensive or unreliable

Rangie and injected 4.4?

Hi all, Couple of quick q's for the experts I'm looking at building up a project rangie and have found a late 80's vogue in good nick but with a tired motor, I also have access to a 4.4 in pretty good shape for it considering I intend putting it on gas eventually.......... How hard is it to convert ...
