My mate actually stopped past work today and I asked him for more info on this fault. Apparently there is a sensor on the rear tailgate to let you(or the window solinoid) know if it is fully closed or not which stops the function of the window. He recons the plug for it is in the lefthand side trim ...

Weird, but I happened to be talking to a workmate with a 4runner the other day about the exact same fault you are having, his was actually open and wouldn't opperate. He got in the back quater panel and pulled all the electrical plugs for the window apart to clean the contacts and then put them back ...

We had a simular problem on one of our 80 series. What we found is that one of the brackets holding the wiring for the ABS was bent at the front wheel and would pull on the wiring plug when turning and going over some obstacles. May pay to remove your front wheels and turn steering full lock side to ...

Chris, Don't quote me on this but I think the first without the 1/4 glass window for AUS was the late 88 Sahara. :?: :?: Funny enough, but most 60 series exported to the US were without the 1/4 glass window. Do a search in google images for a 88 cruiser and you will see an example. I also remember ...

Problem you will have with your 105 series is the ABS. To do a part time kit you are right in the fact that you will loose the ABS as the pickup is on the front driveshafts inside the swivel hubs, not on the disc rotors like some. Only way to overcome this problem is to leave the hubs as they are ...

Phippsy, Interesting read that link. It does mention 'PAIRS' of driving lights mounted symetrically, not a single light so that might be a point to check. What was very interesting is it mentions that you can have an additional two pairs of driving lights fitted. In Vic you can only have a maximum ...

I didn't want to mod my good switch just in case it doesn't work, or I want to return it to standard at a later date ...

Definitely go air locker on front and if you have enough $$$ air on the rear as well so you can control it also. Auto lockers on the front are not a good idea as they can lockup and make steering around corners on a slippery surface near impossible. I had nothing but trouble with mine in a 60series ...

The locknuts are only a nyloc nut. There are special locknuts available from ARB, TJM and others that require adaptor sockets to tighten/loosen them (like anti theft wheel nuts). The also fit the Hella 4000 as I use them myself. They are not just the standard nylock that you can use any old spanner ...

I know that in the petrol 80 series the switch can both turn on and off the fuel transfer but this is still a momentry switch to a relay. If you leave the fuel pump on until all the fuel is transfered (either the sub tank is empty or the main tank hits 3/4 full trip mark) the relay recieves a signal ...

I should have wrote my post a little better, Yes I agree that just over 12volts at the battery is poor and should be looked at and fixed first. Yep, that will do it Bluey!! As I said, the only purpose of the circuit completer is to supply a load/resistance to the factory loom, so that it switches the low beam off when you have activated the high beams. Of course it only has to go on the one side as the other is loaded by the relay block for ...

The physical way I used of telling the difference in the light improvement was to unplug the circuit completer and plug the factory plug back on the headlight. This then allows you to see the difference between the superloom powered and factory wiring powered light. I found the factory powered light ...
