Or try the easy carb clean...swap over the middle two spark plugs and start her up, this wil back fire and may clean out the carb. Been doing this ...

My 94 2.8 diesel diff code is G285, this means an 8" 4.3 with 4 pinion lsd. Is the front diff also going to be a 4 pinion? I am thinking of putting in an auto locker in the front and need to sort it so I can order the right one.

Thanks

If you want to encourage Rookies why have two winches? Make it one low mount winch at the front to save $ and make entry to the sport cheaper.

I've got as Tmax 9500 and tried to single line pull a dual cab lux out of mud which was past the sill. It wouldn't do it (of course) but did not burn out so I had to do a double pull to get out. Thats a good test and its still going strong. I know a few guys who have bought the cheaper winchs and ...

Goodyear wrangler MTR's are an awesome tyre for a zook. Great in the sand and great traction off road. They are heaps better than any cheap mud terrain tyre. You get what ya pay for. MTR stands for maximum traction.

I agree with Bowtie Landie. I have run auto lockers and air lockers and the auto lockers were great. If ya can't afford an air locker go for it. An auto locker is better than no locker.

Competition Recovery Points

Are the two recovery points on the bottom of most bull bars (usualy a hole in a ridge at the bottom of the bar) suitable for competition recovery points if I put a rated shackle in them?

Cool. I'm going 3" spring and 30mm body. A mechanic that works on comp rigs said this is the best combination to keep the centre of gravity correct and not need caster correction and run 35's.

I'll check out clark rubber for the outside screw type flare.

Thanks guy's. Where do you get flares to fit after a guard chop. I've searched the net and only found fibreglass flares. Was after rubber ones if poss but the ones I found need the lip on the guard to screw into.

Pics and tips on guard chop and flares would be appreciated.

Yeah it was a 4.3 minus a few teeth

I put a rear LSD in. Not as good as a locker but for an extra $100 better than an open (just). All I had to do was grind the 5mm chamfer off each axle.
