i picked up a straight as a tack,rust free, 2"lifted,snorkle, diesel 4.2 wide wheel pack patrol and locker(fact. rear), it was the flash modle too with all the carpet and intirior trim for $4200

they are there, not long before that i was looking at a swb 4"lifted denco turboed diesel fully flash ...

2.8 turbo on a 4.2

i might be scoring a 2.8 turbo and all the manifolds off a gq diesel,
ive got a 4.2 diesel with 415,000 on the clock(hence the small turbo option) and i dont really feel safe putting a big turbo on it.
so my question is, what will fit and what will i have to customize, mainly more worried about the ...

i got one for my diesel troll and it was $180 for the vrs and head machined and a few other bits and pieces and it all up cost $455, and an extra $100 for my mate to help do it all

i went from dubbo to gosford in just over half of tank(90L tank), in my n/a diesel gq 4.2, and did 1166klm(broken hill to gosford) in $200 :armsup:

so its well doable i say............. no wait,, experienced :D

edit: in a lwb wagon filled up with my house shit, just sat on about 100-105 all day ...

the internal gaskets went on my dad 2.8 turbo gu and was leaking water out of the centre of the turbo like there was no tomorrow, so we disconnected the water to it and drive around like that for a while, it did a trip thats about 60klms highway use and alot of driving around town you can smell that ...

yeah i had airlockers in my old lux, and my dad had a lockrite in his old one(front), yeah i just thought that there wouldnt be much hassle with them and that they would be fine but as yous say do it once do it proper,

so saving the airlocker it be,

i got this little air solenoid coming shortly ...

i got a 33 on the rear of mine and i used to live in broken hill and hooted along the corrugations flatout nearly all day everyday in it and i never seen any signs of cracking or anything like that and i was going fast too and the bumps were pretty severe,
