Gq diffs will smash the shit out of hiluxes in terms of strength. Not only can you not get away from the fact that a hilux head has the piddly little crown wheel and pinion, but the steering setup is rubbish and people constantly rip the steering arm studs out of the knuckle due to poor design. Id ...

I use the standard air filter box and running 15psi, it makes no difference whether I run it with no airbox to having the box on (noticeable difference anyway). I do have the turbo box though, not sure if they are different to the non turb ones?

Hi there, I have recently fully rebuilt my motor (after the nut holding the compressor wheel on the turbo came off and sent turbo through my motor) and now it seems to stop pulling at 3k rpm? I have modified it with the following t3/t4 turbo with high mount manifold 3" intake manifold inlet 3 ...

Hi there, My 1hd-t has recently blown the turbo and sent bits through my motor. Pulled it down today and thankfully a majority of it is ok. The head has a couple of small dings in it which I dont think I need to be too worried about? The worst part is the pistons as they have peices embedded into ...

For another idea, there is a guy here that puts a plunger in the centre of the lsd with a hydraulic feed line going into it. You then put pressure in when you want it to lockup effectively creating a locker. Works very well and people have had alot of success with them.

probably not without lowering bumpstops. I have 35" at's on mine with no lift but it takes awhile for the flares to get worn away by the tyres so they dont scrub
It is just a poser wagon though so its ok

It would be no more suitable than a standard G16b. Running the GTI head will help by lowering the static compression, but the conrods will always be a weak link that usually prove not to be up to the task. Plenty of people have had success running forced induction on the g series bottom end, but it ...

A heap of awesome tech Thanks heaps mate. Exactly the tech i was after. The V-twin MC engine gets reasonable torque for what it is. 98NM at 6000RPM standard with no tweaks to motor. How hard is it to divorce the FWD gearbox from the motor itself? and how do you go about getting drive to the gearbox ...

If you want ideas take a look at all the NZ buggies. Most run 35" tyres (35's are max for our comps) and depending on class, 4's 6's or 8's. First choice you want to make is if you actually want it actually lightweight or just relatively lightweight. If you really want it lightweight dont even waste ...

A frames are really common over here and work great. Though you need to have good brakes on the tow wagon. On some vehicles though it doesn't like it if the caster etc is out to far and start to vibrate, but on most it is fine. The a frame just needs to be ideally parallel with the ground though as ...
