I am pretty sure these guys still do beadlock conversions. I had an old rims beadlock changed to a new rim by these guys a while ago and they did a good job. They are at Sumner Park in Brisbane.

Re: AORC RND 2 - Finke Desert Race

Thanks for the update! So is Speedweek the Real Balls Promotions show (Rusty Bell and crew.) YES And ONE HD the Offroad Promotions team? YES Isn't it brilliant that AORC can get this sort of coverage on general media! I reckon events like OBC, Cliffhanger and Engel would do well pushing for ONE HD ...

The idea of having bypasses on a tourer is a bit dubious. I think the check valve noises from the bypasses would drive most mad.

Any questions with regards to Offroad racing CAMS rules, the rulebook can be downloaded from the site. Otherwise you can call Morrie Williams 0412 361 864 who is the tech inspector for offroad nationally. He will be able to sort out any questions. Good luck with your project.

I have been told that the first bit of TV coverage is on SBS's Speedweek tomorrow. I have not seen it but i have been told that the footage of Pinto alone is worth the look.
There is also going to be coverage of this and all the other national offroad racing rounds on channel Ten soon.

When i hooked mine up, I ran the +ve and the -ve back all the way to the battery. This way if there is any noise, the capacitance of the battery will absorb it. So far no noise at all.

Trophy Trucks in the States are running 17's just to clear the brakes that they need to run. I would think that running larger you would be selling yourself short on the suspension that the Tyre sidewall offers to supplement the rest of your suspension.

Yes, what you have described as a "small planetary" is the pinion (rack & pinion). A steering quickener is different again being an in line step up single gear box. You see these in rally cars applications as well as when a steering box is used with a slider style steering set up. You also see race ...

1.5 to 1 relates to 1.5 rotations to go lock to lock.
This is good for the speed you want to turn in racing applications.
