Had the same problem when I had my disco. Research I did pointed to dirty earths on the starter solenoid and motor, when the car gets hot the resistance gets higher and there's not enough voltage to engage the solenoid. A cheap fix is to clean all the contacts on the stater and solenoid and the ...

LOL this brings back memories I had so much drama when doing a body swap I used a written off defender chassis and my old existing cab you can use a written off vehicle as spare parts as the chassis was fine but however i did have to get a surregant vin number stamped onto the chassis good luck
