Yeah the features of the Alpha canopy are slightly better (being the front drop-down window for easy access to cab rear window, better rear handle and water drainage) and they are both made in Thailand. Plus the Alpha was about $600 cheaper, but not sure if the quality is a good as the Carry boy ...

HLX40 man, Thanks T.C About the legal thing, the SR has 16" rims so I'm safe there and the new rims are still the standard offset, the tyres have gone from 255/70/15 to 285/75/16? Hi ,
I have Cooper ATR 265/70 R15 they are legal and the correct load rate.
On the Hilux SR5.
Overall 14mm larger diamiter.

Have a look they are rated correctly.

I've got the ARB smart solenoid, had 1 in my last 3 4wd's can't fault them. for running a fridge properly you are better off with dual batteries. i get the ARB kit as the tray is well made and fits, and the looms / cables are all the correct length which makes an easier + neater job. I ordered the Petrol Hilux, just my choice anyway. and hope the milage is not to bad :D Biggest problem is new tyres.
