Did you put a new cap on the radiator when it was replaced? If this is faulty it may not be allowing it to suck back when cooling down and the top rad hose could be collapsing restricting the water flow. This happens to my SD33 sometimes.

Brad, The intrument panel is 12 volt the only guage that isnt is the volt guage. There should be a 12 volt feed that goes to where the sterio pod sits on the dash and there is a possibility that the cigarette lighter would be 12 volt although some say that theirs is 24 volt. A check with a multy ...

Shane Would have to agree that most of them do a good job and yes the smaller the run the process can slow down. Sounds like they tempered your springs back to much. The ball bearing machine you talk about is a shotpeening machine. What this does is even out the surface stresses and take out any ...

There is a thing called scragged to length in the springmaking industry. Sragging is usually the act of compressing a spring solid 3 times to achieve the desired length of a higher than normal stressed spring. On some springs this is not achievable due to some dimension constraints that is imposed ...

Could be getting air down the thread of the bleeder screw. I have had 2 cylinders do this on the rear of my MQ, one old and one new. Put a bit of clear hose on the screw and leave it open for about 30 seconds and see if there is any air coming through after giving it a few pumps.

There i some nice flex in those pics but I wouldn't try it if there are coil spacers in there. The spring in the bottom picture has almost closed solid as it is and it will shorten it's service life if it sees to much of that.

Wouldn't be any different to the 12 volt sender as the 24 volt patrol guages are 12 volt anyway. That is why they come on when the accessories is switched on.

Dan There is a possibility that it can happen. The only way to know yourself is to take them out and check their free length. In reality there shouldn't be much of a difference between the pair of springs. If they are the same or close enough to being the same might be worth asking the spring ...

If you are talking about where the spool is on the lower part of the pilar for the front belts they dont face into the pilar they face towards the centre of the vehicle.

I would be looking at the leaking fuel filter as a start it is probably letting air in to the system. Check the top of the injector pump as well to see if there is any leaks, that can cause problems as well.

I would suspect that it would be an earth problem to the instrument panel for it to cut out so much. If it was on the positive side it would more likely to be selective on what may not work. Maybe the plug has fallen out of the back of the panel?

The MQ lighter should be 12 volts as is the radio connections in the pod. They feed from the same source which is through a factory relay that switches on at the accessory stage and feeds off the drivers side battery which is 12 volts.

Sounds to me that the piston in the master cylinder isn't the same spec as the original, ie the i.d where the rod from the vacumn cylinder pushes. It may be as simple as adjusting the length of this rod by making it shorter. Had the same problem with the brakes on a Niva that I own but they would ...
