Re: custom hilux crossmember

any photos u hav of ur own pls show them thx. Here is a pic of one I made for my 99 dual cab with IFS (with std crossmember behind). It raises the gearbox 30mm (to suit the 30mm body lift that was in mine). Made from 50x75x4mm. Gave it an extra 55mm clearance from standard. It's still sitting in ...

And looking at other info it looks like the whole transfer case has to be pulled apart to ...

80Series Transfer case oil leak

A while back I gave my rear drive shaft a good whack and it was weeping oil from the diff seal and the transfer case seal. But now its getting worse. I've looked in the manual and it looks like the diff seal is a mechanics job, but not much info on the transfer case seal. Does anyone know about ...

Nice job, looks like there are going to be a few people copying your design (maybe me too!) The exhaust has had me stumped for a while. How about a few pics of the chassis mounts while it is bolted up to the chassis. Including a close up of the one around the exhaust. Would be very much appreciated ...

Seems to me that you have hooked it up OK ecept for the sensor cabling. Sounds like the Jaycar sensor goes between the OE sensor and the speedo. Find the wire in the car that goes from the sensor to the speedo, cut it, then join the end that goes to the sensor to your 'sensor in' and the cut end ...

After similar problems i ended going to the local Toyota dealer to check out their price on standard 8" steel rims ......$250!!!!! The GXL alloys were the same price!! I asked what gives and ...

I did the same to an 85 4runner. Was pretty easy and only took about 1/2 a day to strip all the unwanted stuff out of the old loom and tape it back up. There was hardly any other stuff in the engine loom except for engine stuff.Get stuck into it and you should have no probs. Especially for a leccy 1 ...
