The reason i ask is that is my rear air locker has been pumping oil out of the lock off, so i removed it and took it down to our local arb dealer and basically the cross pins have grabbed and stuffed the thrust washers spider ...

why would you want to go a 5 litre? 5.7 or 6 litre is genaly the go,

i did the exactly the same thing it turned out being a twisted shaft on the steering box, above the pitman arm make sure you check that out also and good luck

hey all just broke my winch cable and looking at replacing it with plasma rope just wounding was is the pros and cons with rope and wire,i do know wire is heavey and if you get a fray well it bloody hurts i also is plasma high maintenance or is that all bull sh#T any help would be good

What would be a good air box to use with a efi gq the standed ones are way to hard to find, i was thinking of converting a commodore one? or is there something else to use any help would be good

Ive just bought my 1st 4x4 :) a 1986 Navara duel cab. From what I can tell its a D21? It has a 2.5L diesel.

It runs nicely but lacks a little power going up hills.
When I bought it I was told it had a leaking injector, not sure if that is the cause of the lack of power.

Im not very mechanically ...

Hi tried searching and haven't had much luck. My rear lsd is getting a bit tired in my GQ, doesn't always spin 2 for some reason.
Is shimming hard to do or not? Could this be done by me easily enough?

Air locking would be better if you got the coin lying around but shimming is easy to do ...

the only bit that 'harder' is actually getting the getting the box out.
(the bell housing hit the floor) some will tell you it's easy and they can do it by them selves in 4 hour on the floor. I'm yet to see it happen that way.

access to all the bolts and what needs to come off isn't really much ...

hi all i have a 93 gq patrol efi petrol/gas today the power lead for the winch rubbed through and earth out on the body dash lights flicked stereo cutting in and out ect i disconnected the winch at the battery and every is working as normally but the problem i have noticed is that it has lossed ...

there are $1450 a bit dear arb ones are i think around $1200 there abouts i think arb are the go at least they have proved them selves

Same thing happened to me about 12 month ago i broke the plastic slip ring inside i think it cost me about $8.50 for the part and about 4 hours to fix it but drain a little of the diff oil and see if there is any medal in there, good luck

Gday fellas. i have a TD42 GU

no long ago i blew my LHS CV. so took a quick trip down don kyatts to fix it all up.

ive replaced both CV's, plus throwing swivel hub, an wheel bearing kits into both sides.

now ive gotten right to the end and i cant get the damn circlip on that holds the inner gear ...
