If Ashdown Ingrams don't have them I would also try Iveco themselves. Most OEM plugs can be bought straight though the dealers and there not usually very dear. Most genuine plugs are copyrighted so places like Ashdowns cant copy them.

Re: HID's are just so yesterday !
Led is very over rated for spot and headlights. Those Truck lights are crap compared to projector HID and I'm yet to see a Led spot light that comes close to a decent HID not ebay carp. I've swapped a few guys over who where running the Truck lights. There next to useless in rain or fog (because ...

Re: Led driving lights - watts/amps query
Yes if you are putting 12.6 volts into them you should be reading about 7.14 amps. Just remember though there are heaps of variants. You should be measuring the volts at the light not the relay so you know there is no voltage drop at all. The other thing is the quality of the gear your using. I have ...

Some of the Lexus headlights are already $7000 each so I'm guessing these will be a heap more. lol
You see a lot of concepts that never get off the ground though.
One of the Audi's new concepts are the whole tailgate is a full LED screen with all sorts of crap going on.
Cheers Mick

Re: New LED bar causing RFI
A lot of the light bars can cause some static on radio frequencies. This is caused by Pulse Width Modulation. This means the leds are driven by small strikes many times a second. If you could record a LED light bar and slow it up they look like a strobe light. This is supposed to give the led time ...

Re: LED Spotties
Hi mate There just like led bars. They have a great light but short in distance compared to HID spots. There not as wide a beam as most light bars though. If you want decent light in a round form True 100 watt HID ballasts with CBI osram bulbs or philips HID fatboys will crap over any light bar or ...

For the record, I have a pair of 100w halogens (Roo lights), a pair of HIDs (self modified Cibie Super Oscars) and a 44 inch LED light bar, bought off a member on here. Something to remember when looking at pictures of light bar outputs is, if it is a shot amongst trees, like those above, then the ...

I have a 50" rigid bar and it's the ducks.... In reality, it's fine for 100kmh highway driving, as the actual reflective range and visible range is better than 300m as suggested. Off road, it kills 100w hid kitted XGT's, which gave two bright spots so bright they were a pain on my eyes after a ...

Re: LED Light bars
What are you after distance or spread?
A light bar is great for up to about 300 metres even the biggest and brightest of them all. A decent HID spot light or Projector HID will be good for a 700 metres then some.
Cheers Mick.

Re: Paint Colour for dual cab hilux
The Bionic blue your referring to is actually a pearl from memory but you need to look very closely to actually see the pearl. Re: Paint Colour for dual cab hilux
I am building up a ln106 1990 hilux dual cab and trying to decide on paint colours. Initially I was dead keen on the new toyota colour called graphite (charcoal metalic) but if I went that colour it works out to be around 2grand in paint by the time I get primers and clears etc vs a solid colour ...

Thanks for the reply Mick, good to finally get a response form someone who has actually used it. I do a bit of airbrushing and use waterbased acrylic paints for that (autoair) which is why I thought it may be a way to go but from the sounds of it not for a hack like me. I would be keen to get a ...

What's you thought on water based paints expected life these days? I know the early ones were terrible - aka falcon EL etc... where the undercoat fell apart under the top coat on the bonnets / roof. Re: paint for barwork
LIC 40 is the most durable 2 pack paint available these days and dries harder then powder coat and requires no etch primer. It sticks better to a freshly sandblasted surface or bare metal that's been sanded with 80 grit. If it's a painted surface then finishing off with 240 dry is fine. When I did ...

As we are moving to the country in a few weeks the g/f will be doing a little more country night driving. Re: Painting Aluminium
There's an easier and cheaper way. As mentioned above give the boat a good clean with a red or green scotch brite and Deoxadine and make sure you follow the instructions and use the right safety gear with this stuff. Then Paint it in LIC 40. It's a 2 pack paint that doesn't require etching and is ...

Re: How do front lockrites go on the beach?
Redhead only needs right boot at the entrance because half the clowns there use too high a tyre pressure and chew it to shit. I run 5psi in my zook and can 2wd it without wheelspin. Mates in cruisers/patrols run 6-8 and can do the same. You don't " need" a locker on the beach, but on dune climbs it ...

I'm pretty sure Matt was getting his for about $4000 both steer diffs with factory lockers and I'm pretty sure he can get more for that price. My point was the cost factor of getting a GU diff or 60 series diff to handle rear steer is dear to start with and will still fail. I personly would wait until you can afford to do it properly.
