I would like to increase the preload on my LSD but it is not obvious to me where to insert shims , the only way i can see how to do it is to use different thickness friction plates 2.0 mm or 2.1 mm are available from nissan .

Cheers for that. Have you tested on a decent incline yet? How much truth is there behing these not working well for 4wds because they starve the engine of fuel on a good slope?

I'm intrigued... So you found a carby which is jetted to suit. What's it off? And where'd you source the manifold?

Cheers for that. I've tried to tune out the flat spot. Run it up to about 10 degrees BTDC from memory, didn't seem to help. I suspect it may be running a little lean, but the mixture adjustment on these carbs has been plugged and I'm in not really geared to be drilling holes in carby at the moment ...

Fitting a Weber is definitely an improvement over the stock carburator. You must select the right type. Have in mind that the stock carby is modified from the factory for off road use - that means that when you try to climb somewhere it does not runs out of fuel easily. With Weber i ...

thanks mate i put it on and it works great lot more power we drove it up to newcastle from vic i got 659km to a tank and with the standard carb i got 700km to a tank .
