Dose a FJ 45 have the same body mounts as a fj 40 im looking at getting a fj 45 body replacing the rusted swb body and making it into a bob ute ???

Im looking at cutting out the IFS out of the paj. I want to put a Hilux front end in , i dont want to use coils i would like to put leaf under but which year model hilux would i have to find to do the conversion ????

I did the search , but no detailed tech on how to shim a GQ LSD.
I would like to increase the preload on my LSD but it is not obvious to me where to insert shims , the only way i can see how to do it is to use different thickness friction plates 2.0 mm or 2.1 mm are available from nissan .

Cheers for that. Have you tested on a decent incline yet? How much truth is there behing these not working well for 4wds because they starve the engine of fuel on a good slope?

Cheers for that. I've tried to tune out the flat spot. Run it up to about 10 degrees BTDC from memory, didn't seem to help. I suspect it may be running a little lean, but the mixture adjustment on these carbs has been plugged and I'm in not really geared to be drilling holes in carby at the moment ...

thanks mate i put it on and it works great lot more power we drove it up to newcastle from vic i got 659km to a tank and with the standard carb i got 700km to a tank .

Its a NC SWB 1985 4 cylinder 2.8 , Its been used for play and going away , it has a ARB rack, Arb bull bar , Warn winch 8000 , roll bar ,
front lokka !!!!!!!!!!

this is why im asking for a 4wd center because i new to all of this
