Painting alloy
I have searched, and got a vague idea, but I just want to confirm. I have
a Alloy Bull bar that I want to paint black to match everything else on the
car. DoI just clean, sand, etch prime then paint, or is there some secret
that i am missing?
Or can I not paint it at all?

Morning, has anyone had any experience with these tyres. They are to go on a 4Runner. I would love to tell you that I do 4wding everyday, but i would be lying! I do probably 70/30 road/dirt. The dirt driving is mostly touring, sometimes stuff a little harder, but i am still looking for a some what ...

I have a mate who is looking at getting a Defender as a knockaround. It is in the dealership near his work, and is $9900. It has 205000 km's on it. what should he, or I (if i go to look to) really be on the lookout for. Just standard problems that we should see so we know to stay clear or take it ...

Yes, i know it is some what of a given, but it is not good. It is a 3L 2.8 Hilux. It has 245,000Km's on it, and uses no oil at all, and compression is very similar between all cylinders. The injectors were changed about 70,000 Km's ago, and the previous owner had the injector pump rebuilt about ...

Morning all, I have 180 sized spots on the front of the car, and they are on there last legs. I just wanted to know, if I put on 220 sized lights, will it affect the cooling of the car. They are going on the standard mounting points on a '92 4Runner bullbar ,so just the same as a Hilux. Thanks in ...

Morning all, Please help! I have a vibration in the snorkel area(3l motor) that comes around 2200-2600rpm. On the weekend i took it all apart to give it a clean. I ran up the road with it all together, bar the front cover of the air filter, nor the element. Low and behold , no noise! Put the filter ...

Afternoon all, I have a '92 4Runner, and i just wish to pose a few questions. It is lifted 2" with OME stuff. Now with all the driving i do, i realised i do a hell of a lot more touring than rock hopping. I want to keep it the same height, but I am looking to make the axles move a little more than ...

Morning all, Driving around the other day and had a clunking sound from under the car ( '92 IFS lux). Got out and found the cause or so of the noise. The driveshaft to the front hub is rocking up and down, only 1/2 inch or so, but enough to bang over speed humps on the passenger side. i can't wiggle ...

Morning all, now before everyone arks up, I have searched. Now I jacked up the car ("93 4Runner) yesterday on a fork lift, and the front wheel articulates 2" before it stops. If i continue untill the back wheel comes off the ground, it is still 2" short of the bumpstops. It supposedly has a 2" OME ...
