Just on the thermostat issue .... I had a problem with hot running temperature when in the bush or sand on stockton beach (quite soft )

During winter road driving my temp used to sit just above half way and close to four fifths .when on the beach or bush driving in low.

:D The second daihatsu is mine and i must say the hilux went thru the hole twice on AT tyres and did not get stuck. :armsup:

I paid $225 each for 4 x MTR's 30 x 9.5 x r15 standard fez rims

love them and won't be trying anything else until they are bald

as for going bigger i was thinking of going to 31's but after the last trip to the bush i think the loss in low range power could be too much, having to use momentum ...

i have a 2inch lifted 92 feroza widetrac and standard rims with Goodyear MTR'S 30 X 9.5 AND I AM MORE THAN IMPRESSED. the grip in the mud is well past what the at's could do.

the air box is held on with 1 bolt, but due to the other pipes holding it all together it is very sturdy. :D :D

Updated info

The pipe is not perfect it does have minor scratches and the bends are pvc pressure pipe white in colour (paint them what ever colour you like, i did :D ) a 3inch hole needs to be cut thru the outer and inner guard and from there you are on your own as i have a hyundai lantra airbox under the bonnet ...

A stock rocky will wip either of their arses. My rocky went heaps more places stock than a friends live axle sierra. Now with 2" lift, the only stuff that makes it stop is pretty insane anwyway.... if it had 31's and a winch it will go anywhere others will :cool:
