Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Just on the thermostat issue .... I had a problem with hot running temperature when in the bush or sand on stockton beach (quite soft )

During winter road driving my temp used to sit just above half way and close to four fifths .when on the beach or bush driving in low.

I had my mechanic drill 5 ...

Damn that WAS a big splashdown in the puddle

:D The second daihatsu is mine and i must say the hilux went thru the hole twice on AT tyres and did not get stuck. :armsup:


I made it further because i hit it so fast i aqua planed over the first part of the hole :armsup: :armsup:

I have wildcat extractors and a 2in sports exhaust on my fez and love the sound and power

I paid $225 each for 4 x MTR's 30 x 9.5 x r15 standard fez rims

love them and won't be trying anything else until they are bald

as for going bigger i was thinking of going to 31's but after the last trip to the bush i think the loss in low range power could be too much, having to use momentum ...

I'll put my BUSH BUSTER Feroza against any jimny with same mods and then i'll tow the Jimny home when it breaks.

i have a 2inch lifted 92 feroza widetrac and standard rims with Goodyear MTR'S 30 X 9.5 AND I AM MORE THAN IMPRESSED. the grip in the mud is well past what the at's could do.

2in lifted (reset and a leaf added by Dumbrell springs) springs, 30in muddies, snorkel, extractors, jap import motor, clutch, leads, plugs, oxy sensor, spotties, thermostat, timing belt, waterpump, ........ damn this car has cost me some ...

the air box is held on with 1 bolt, but due to the other pipes holding it all together it is very sturdy. :D :D

The only difference i did was i used 60mm anodised aluminimum and pvc pressure pipe (because it is a smooth outer radius) and i made a different bracket to hold the ...

The pipe is not perfect it does have minor scratches and the bends are pvc pressure pipe white in colour (paint them what ever colour you like, i did :D ) a 3inch hole needs to be cut thru the outer and inner guard and from there you are on your own as i have a hyundai lantra airbox under the bonnet ...

I have enough Pipe at home to make another Snorkel like the one on my Bush Buster (see pic) :cool:

If you are interested i can ship all required parts to plumb it down your guard you just have to do the work under the bonnet to connect to you current filter system email me if interested .... i am ...

A stock rocky will wip either of their arses. My rocky went heaps more places stock than a friends live axle sierra. Now with 2" lift, the only stuff that makes it stop is pretty insane anwyway.... if it had 31's and a winch it will go anywhere others will :cool:
