Re: !help! GU 06 3.0L engine shake diesel

Have seen this problem previously on my son in law's DX 3 litre Patrol. In fact he voiced his concern to the Nissan dealers when he took it in for servicing. They couldn't find the fault. :bad-words: DUH ? Not a suprise. The following weekend we found the fault after the flywheel collapsed. Dual ...

Re: 2.8 GQ Patrol Eating Oil

My advice would be to have a COMPRESSION test carried out ASAP.
This will establish what condition the lower end of the engine is in, ie, pistons/rings/valves ect.
IF, these are within manufacturer's specs, only then, would I go lokking for something else.

Diesel will perish rubber. I wouldn't use petrol to reseat beads - too hard to control the fire and a real risk of igniting the tyre, or everything. Aerosol lighter fluid or equivalent volatile hydrocarbon ( aerostart, carby cleaner?) is the go. It can't create a burning pool as it evaporates too ...

I've had my 2.8 now for two years, and have to confess am very impressed with it's economy. It'll leave a 4.2 for dead, and even give a 3 litre a bloody good run for it's money. Course with gas fumigation fitted and a 2 1/2 inch straight thru exhaust system, it helps considerbly. If economy is your ...

Hi bucketofbolts, as turbz posted, most 3 way type fridges are not very efficient when run on 12 volts and the usual operation is 240 ac power at home to cool down the fridge before travelling, 12 volt power while on the move and then straight on to gas as soon as you get to your camp site.
