Does the gearbox and transfer case share their oil? or are they seperate entities with a mechanical actuator? I have just noticed that the front output shaft from the transfer case has a leak in that area. At the moment, I have the front shaft removed so its easy to see. The leak seems to be dribbling down from the front area near output shaft. Is there a quick fix with gaskets/seals that may fix this ...

They do when its happened prior... maybe a weakness in the models in a particular serial number group. Just filled up my recent edition to the Garage GU6 3.0TD. Am currently getting milage of 12.4l per 100kms. Not too bad, but am hoping that the info people are telling me is correct... A few people seem to thinkt that an engine is thirstier when its bedding in etc, and should be more economical ...

Thanks for the replies fellas. Im seriously thinking of getting a set for my GU6. Ive used a set of them on my Feroza which I rated them very highly. Just wasnt sure on the kms range I would get from them.

Yeah, sounds like a great price to me. I got a quote for 265/70/17 for my Patrol at $275 which sounds like a smaller size than your tyres being $287.50 each at your price.

i have seen within my dealership any such issue with the commonrail engine , the direct injection 3 litre that is now not made anymore on the other hand is a different story however blowups with them is a rare occurance now. your one will be a commonrail and you should have no problems with it ...
