Re: 2010 SUSPENSION STUFF LOGAN CHALLENGE (NEW DATE 9-10TH O

Hey there.

I've emailed twice and Pm'd a few times in regards to the competition and have received no response in the last 3 weeks to the organisers.

Could you please PM me in regards to Team SBR as we may not be able to attend due to other commitments on that date.

Re: ASAP

just bolt straight up.

do them up by hand individually til you get them all in as the body will require some wiggling to get the bolt holes lined up.

then do them up after all bolts are in.

if you brake too much rollin downhill.. your brake rotors will heat up and then you'll have no brakes.

Use your gears accordingly. and match the gears to your speed then you'll be right.

If you are talking pipe most is light 40 NB some medium. So 40NB with say a 2.4mm wall which comes in just under 2". Pipe is for fluid so it is measured in NB or nominal bore and the NB plus the wll thickness is the OD. Most car guys talk in OD as when you fabricate stuff for cars you often use ...

yup def go the rover transfer case setup... 3.21 low range ratio which is decent.

60 series run 4.1 centres, so overall crawl isnt too bad.

Rover cases are bloody strong let me tell u... we've run them in all our buggies and never seen an issue with them.

They can be front and rear disconnected...

Do vitara diff go straight into sierra, or do you just get the RnP and fit them. Seems a big job to fit RnP and beyond my skills, where as if its the full diff center, no probs. vitara have an alloy centre which isnt very strong so the crownwheel and pinon is transferrred over to the sierra steel ...

4.9 or 6.5 transfer gears. Either will correct you high range almost perfectly and provide enough low range. 4.9 if you are more into mud or flatter country, 6.5 if you are into the steep stuff. A 1.0 case will help but won't correct enough in either high or low, and 5.12 gears are cheaper to buy ...

have you got shims inside your kingpin bearings??

they're very good at causign wobbles as well... it may be that your shims are spacing the bearings out too far.
