Re:

the turbo to look for is a TD04 turbo off WRX and evo standard rally turbo that alot companies like MTQ use. you could pick up one these very cheap and modify to suit as well. Closest so far.... The WRX turbo is a different spec to what DTS uses. The Turbo your looking for is a TD05 something like ...

Re: pigletracing - a few pics etc.

OK, I sold the original PIG some time ago & bought a nissan patrol GQ than did the whole build thing on that, but I have always regretted retirering the original PIG. After the big ROLL / BACKFLIF we converted it to an extra cab feroza, although she looked the part, & went good I still mised the ...

Re: Help .... Wheel Bearings, 1989 GQ 4.2

clean the spindle and make sure there is no damage.

make sure the actual hub itself isnt damaged either.

Dust seals tend to let go, getting crap in the bearings, and this happens !!

Oh, and make sure you put the spacer rings back in !!!

From personal experience, the Xterrain isnt bad, very little lateral grip, tends to spin on the rim at lowered pressures, and like to get mud in the beads.

Fairly thin sidewall.

good straight line grip, need to drive them.

Ive been in a 2.8 GU that has been converted to an RB25DET and i can tell you its a good thing. The RD28's injector pump shit the tin, and it was going to cost roughly $2500 to get it recoed, and replaced. $2500 also bought a complete RB25DET from an R34 Skyline, with pretty much EVERYTHING you need ...

The Watchdog i decided to place in the most vulnerable place i knew of on a TB42, the head.

Its designed to be used where the vehicle owner does not want to "break" into the original cooling system. That was what appealed to me.

I think you only have to ensure your cables to the battery are upgraded in size to handle a 180 amp surge. Thats all I did when I went from 90a to 200a in my GQ. I had two cables made up using 600a welding lead cables - I was running to two isolators though. I am assuming the control wiring is the ...

sounds identical to what happened to a fellow member over new years.

Turned out to be the spline stripped out of the torque convertor, have been told its quite common.

Still turned out to be around the $1000 mark to fix.
