Re:
the turbo to look for is a TD04 turbo off WRX and evo standard rally turbo that alot companies like MTQ use. you could pick up one these very cheap and modify to suit as well. Closest so far.... The WRX turbo is a different spec to what DTS uses. The Turbo your looking for is a TD05 something like ...

Re: pigletracing - a few pics etc.
OK, I sold the original PIG some time ago & bought a nissan patrol GQ than did the whole build thing on that, but I have always regretted retirering the original PIG. After the big ROLL / BACKFLIF we converted it to an extra cab feroza, although she looked the part, & went good I still mised the ...

Fuel cut off solenoid.
The wire to mine was dodgy, and would stall when below a certain rpm.

Re: Help .... Wheel Bearings, 1989 GQ 4.2
clean the spindle and make sure there is no damage.
make sure the actual hub itself isnt damaged either.
Dust seals tend to let go, getting crap in the bearings, and this happens !!
Oh, and make sure you put the spacer rings back in !!!

Ive been in a 2.8 GU that has been converted to an RB25DET and i can tell you its a good thing. The RD28's injector pump shit the tin, and it was going to cost roughly $2500 to get it recoed, and replaced. $2500 also bought a complete RB25DET from an R34 Skyline, with pretty much EVERYTHING you need ...

I think you only have to ensure your cables to the battery are upgraded in size to handle a 180 amp surge. Thats all I did when I went from 90a to 200a in my GQ. I had two cables made up using 600a welding lead cables - I was running to two isolators though. I am assuming the control wiring is the ...

This means ill have to change it over to suit the efi, as the 300a doesnt suit. from what ive read, the std efi ecu and injectors will work ok up till ...

99 GU ST 4.2 Turbo - Boost and EGT Install
Hi all, Looked/searched for an hour or so, lots of info on 2.8 and 3.0, but not much on 4.2 non intercooled models. Just picked up some Autometer boost and EGT gauges aswell as a pillar pod to put them in. I have a 99 GU ST, Factory 4.2 Turbo non intercooled model. Where have people got the feeds ...

Yes those will be balance or vacuum lines i would think, and need to be there or the car will lean out, and kaboom, backfire. Did you put on a new Airbox? or did you just connect the pod filter to the Air Flow meter? If you put on a new airbox, then install a threaded connection that you can plug ...

I have the thermistor mounted to a lug that is mounted under a head bolt. Gives an indication of real engine temp and if I ever loose all my coolant I'll know about it because engine temps will shoot up and hopefully I'll be able to shut it off before blowing the engine. My controller is going to ...

Turbo the TB42. that is all........... Just kidding. I say that because of a number of reasons. The TB42 is a tough motor, and likes being turboed, it has low enough compression ratio to run decent boost. Its relatively simple to do, and you dont have to change engine mounts, or get adaptor kits for ...
