question...

I usually grease my front wheel bearings once every 2 years.... when i put the grease in, its the castrol HTB ... yellow in color. 2 years later when pulling the bearing to regrease, the grease has turned to a dark grey color ...is this normal the grease to change color?

any ideas on front recovery point options for a 60 series? fitted an arb style bull bar and not really sure how and were to mount a recover point into the chassis.

I'd stick to 7 PSI. Theres a reason why the 12ht is the best turbo diesel engine around... leave it stock as designed by the factory. If you want to go faster, get another 4wd as the 12ht wasn't meant for speed....

has anyone fitted a hayman reese style towbar on a 60 series? Just recent acquired one all most bolts and holes line up except for the 2 on the side facing the front of the car.. does not seem to be holes in the chassis for them... do I need to drill the chassis ?

Anyone know of any good wreckers in the sydney area specialing in Lancruisers .. particular 60 series?

That sensor thing in the oil cooler is actually your BVSV valve.. vacuum from here runs to the injector pump which controls your idle (cold/warm)... i'd say, connect the vacuum lines to this valve and to the injector pump for starters.

where's the best place to tap a boost gauge in a 12HT?

just curious... with all the vacuum hoses in my 12HT, does anyone know how this works? is there something which blows air in the vacuum hoses or something like that?

i have an import hj61 ... now question is, i can't find the water sensor unit anywhere at all... there is not even a dashboard light for it... does import hj61's have them fitted? or was it removed somewhere between japan and here? anyone know where they are located?

just reading up the steps to do this and the gregory's manual mentions that a special tool is need to press the steering arm and bearing retainer from the swivel hub.. is this necessary? also, how hard is it to get the cone washers off the swivel hub?

anyone knows if 33 x 12.5 x 15 will fit under 60 series with standard suspension? or do i need a 2" lift?

ring up an injection specialist place... he said it was 99% worn linkages and governor.... $1800 or $2400 worst case scenario for full pump rebuilt... hmmm... this is when i should start consider the 80's multivalve turbo but they are rare as hens tooth

Just checking all belts on the 60... noticed that the upper idle pulley (AC belt) has a tiny bit of play - perhaps 3-4mm. The bottom idle pulley (Power Steer belt) has only about 1mm. Is this normal? or is it time for new pulley's? I'm replacing all belts shortly so I wonder if I should do the ...

This happened again today... I tried to stop the engine using the engine stop lever but that didn't work. I tried to stall the engine and that still didn't turn the car off... a few seconds later, the whining noise stopped and things were back to normal again... this is too weird
