Re: LS1 Headers (alternatives to marks4x4?)

Have you tried the short headers from HM http://www.hmheaders.com.au/index.php?q=204.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or even the primary pipes from the HM113SS. http://www.hmheaders.com.au/index.php?q=213.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: 70 Cab. 80 Chassis.

A 75 series front will bolt up to the 70 body. The engine bay in the bundera is shorter than a 75, so the 1HZ would be a better fit with the 75 series front on. The 75 series rear mounts are in a different place to the bundy's. I found an image for the 80 Chassis but cant find the one i have for the ...

Re: Rear springs

I wouldn't cut off the military wrap, It is the difference between calling for a tiltray or being able to limp home under your own steam.
I have broken a rear spring in a landcruiser and having the military wrap meant I was able to drive it home not be stuck out in toolangi for hours on end.

Auto or manual?
If you have the A442 Auto you need a bell housing from the early 100 series V8.
The main dramas will be wiring the engine in but if you use the computer and wiring from the early 100 series it should be an easier swap.

There seems to be alot of talk about race car's here, but we are talking about a Diesel (no offence meant to diesel lovers).
Majority of Trucks are Turbo'd and diesel of course.

Re: superchargers

[quote="DR Frankenstine"]HAVE A READ Surge Because a turbocharger first spools up before the boost is delivered to the engine, there is a surge of power that is delivered immediately when the wastegate opens (around 3000 rpm). This surge can be damaging to the engine and drivetrain, and can make the ...

Intercooling will lower the exhaust temp, because you are suppyling cooler air to the intake side therefore creating a lower internal temp during combustion.

Ok just so you know, The intercooler alone will not give you any performance increase what so ever, it will probably reduce performance some what. so if the i/c drops intake temps, that doesnt give any increase in performance whatsoever? The i/c will lower intake temps which will result in better ...

The early 100 series V8 had an A442F, so if you use the bellhousing off the 100 series you can mount up any of the uz's to an A440F.
