I have no experience with an auto locker in the front, but have heard you could have steering issues as it locks and unlocks on its own.

I think the 80 front diff is the same as a hilux rear, ie 8 inch diameter crown wheel but different ratios.

Save your cash and go air locker. I was advised not to put locker in front without installing one in the rear, as there is not a lot of strenght in front diff and cv joints and needs all the help it can get from the rear as far as drive goes, having larger diameter tyres even more so.
