Re: Hydraulic winch power pack

~13l/min is easy, A well setup OE pump can flow 2.5-4GPM @1500 psi.

PM me for a few ideas ;)

Buy a VN computer, you don't have to worry about the security coding then. Kalmaker do an aftermarket chip for the Holden computer, have a look at the website.

Chad, what is the electric set-up that you are running, I am only looking at running a 10500/12000lbs hydraulic winch on my 80 Series for touring, is there a pump that can be mounted off the side of the engine that will give adequate performance, something better than running the winch off the PS p/p.

T = F x d or Torque = Force x Distance

To simplify what torque and power are here is a very crude and basic discription.

Torque of the engine is the force of combustion acting on the pistion rod times the distance from the longitudinal axis of the crankshaft.

Power = Torque x Angular speed

You could pick up an early 90's TD 80 Series Landcruiser for around 20K. Great tourer and tow vehicle but old with quiet a few k's on the clock most probably.

I had the same problem with my 80 Series, I had a balance line fitted between the air filter housing and the viewable side of the converter. Once this was done the system then required a retune, It now runs sweet.
