Re: tyres and offset and gears qs

hey guys, i finally got around a to buying a gq on the weekend, a 4.2 diesel 96 rx wagon. im pretty happy with it, mostly standard but has a 2 inch lift. Im not planning a bl or more lift.

I just have a couple of questions regarding wheels and offset etc.

I am thinking of putting 33X10.5s on it ...

used that stuff for a major service at 150,000km's.

personally i think it worked quite well. i had bad problems with soot coming out of my exhaust, flushed the engine and what not and it went.

seemed to idle a little smoother too on cold mornings.

just my 2 cents.

Cheers, Scott.

mate got a 4" lift and 305/70/16 MTZ's on mine, not scrubbing nothing.

i got the standard series 3 rims (not sure what offset they are tho)

couldnt be happier with the 33" tyres.

can post a pic if ya want to see how much clearance there is.

Info on power steering on '85 lux

Hey, Im just wondering if it’s worth putting power steering in my '85 hilux. I only have 31's on it atm and wanna build it up somewhat and its a bitch to turn it atm, but with 33's or 35's im thinking it would become very hard.

Anyone have any suggestions? Also its got a 253 Holden V8 in it ...
