considering buying a 4 runner

hi all

im looking around for a 4runner v6. early to mid 90's model. most of them have between 200-250 000 kms on them. how are the motors after this many k's? what else in particular should i be aware of when inspecting or test driving?

the lamp holder needs to be replaced. It is making a poor contact and coroding the lamps connection prematurely. thanks micky555 you are right. pulled all the rubber bits off the headlight assembly and had a closer look at the connection to the globe. one of the lamp holder connections is covered ...

have only ever bought the one pair. other pair were bought by a smash repairer after i got some panel beating done and he thought he busted the globe (but hadnt).

i reckon theyre awesome. when i get around to it i might buy some of the more cheaper popular ones and see how they compare.

youre right rob. it is the clock spring in this case. which means the whole airbag assembly needs to be replaced. does anyone have a picture of this?

clock spring/ spiral cassette it was. unlikely to be under warranty as the mechanic who did the wheel alignment refitted it incorrectly (thank-you ARB). over $1000 to repair! very pissed off!
