sounds like a problem i had on my 80 when i had it.The studs on the bottom of the knuckle CAME OUT and was only held in by 1 stud and there are actually 4 but the last 1 was loose so i replaced them and locktighted em and problem solvered.It only happens on the passengers side.Check that there is ...

Is it possible to bolt a turbo onto a standard 2.8 or are there other mods that need doin to it.The reason i ask is looking for a TD hilux but hard to find or ppl are asking to much so will just get a stocker and go from there.Cheers Ben

Honest opinions i need to know how much a 86 LN65 duel cab lux is worth as all the ones for sale range from 15000 to 1500 its in bloody good nick with a new tub on it and a healthy 2.4l diesel cheers.

I have the same problems but i just carry a set of feeler guages and a flat screwdriver everywhere now.The timing is just trial and error move timing and drive if it pings retard it a bit until it dosent.I've got my 3F goin pretty good at the moment revs to 5500 and a shit load of tourqe love it on ...

Already decided on a 304 efi with a chip in it to help a bit.I dont want a street machine just somethin that,ll get me where i wanna go on 100klm hr and maybe a bit more occasionally.Let ya,s know how we go anyway just gotta get time to do it now... :roll:

I will more than likely go a 5 litre as they are cheap as chips and heaps of parts around aswell the mrs will be drivin it mainly so cant go to wild(yet).

i was actually thinkin bout gettin a crate motor as if i get the motor its less that i have to pay to the engineer.There are some good motors to be had to probably go for a tourqey motor over the revs.

total cost around 10k or a bit less as i am helpin the engineer do it includes a rebuilt 5 litre but thats what i am unsure of.If i do it i dont wanna be pissed that i didnt do it right the first time.

I have a 80 series and a 86 lux and wanted to swap rims and tyres over but the cruiser rims rub on the lux brake calipers.Does anyone know what offset the landcruisers are and would some wheel spacers fix the problem i am sorry if this is a dumb question but i am not sure.
