Re: Tyre Topic - Mickey Thompson MTZ

Just about to get rid of my MTZ's. I got 50,000kms out of em and they are pretty much rooted. They seemed to wear quickly after 10,000kms. They were on a GU ute and were 285/75/16. I used them as daily drivers but also plenty of varied dirt work while hunting. I preferred my Wrangler MTR's. I got 20 ...

LED tray lights. Fast indicator?

I just installed some LED tray lights on my GU ute. Everything works fine except one indicator. The left one goes quick now. I have read that because the LED lights draw so little power the car thinks an bulb is out and therefore will flash faster. Why would it only be happening with one indicator ...

Just been looking at one today in a forklift at work. Does anyone know if it's been done? Do you think it'd fit? It looks like it'd go in.

4.2TD Patrol tuning questions?

My Patrol was tuned yesterday. The boost is on 10psi. They got 114.2hp or 85kw out of it. This is with a 3inch exhaust(standard dump pipe). I gave it a run on the freeway today for work. I was heading out on the M4 for work to pick up a new engine. I noticed it is now extremely thirsty. You could ...

After pulling out some marine diesels at work I might be able to get one of the turbo's off em cheap. After some help in the Nissan tech section I have found out they are Garrett T04B88's. Would this turbo be ok for a 4.2 diesel motor or are they too big. Inlet housing on one is AR60 the other is ...

The only other numbers on the inlet side are B.G.G.3 or B.C.C.3. Can't quite make it out. The exhaust side numbers are DH8GA2 with an M1 below them.

Is that any help?

Garrett M27 turbo for 4.2?

We are working on some motors for work. An opportunity has come up to get a Garrett m27 turbocharger pretty cheap. Would this turbo be suitable for a 4.2 patrol? The exhaust housing is Ar 70. I can't see the inlet size numbers.
Are these turbo's any good?

Any help appreciated.
