Don't listen to the Live axle naysayers mate, I would recomend you keep an eye on the 4WD action guys and this trip where you will see how the Current model Hilux I drive stacks up against the live axles.

I know the initial enquiry was for an older model but thought I'd clarify this.

Prado diffs went to 8" from 09/02 on. The 8" diffs are compatible with the 2005-2009 Hilux. However to fit the 8" Prado front diff to the Hilux, you need to also change the fornt diff carrier for ratios of 3.909 and up ...

Been meaning to get on to Brooksy to make me a set of sliders shortly, so better add me in while he's on the job.

Would not mind checkerplate to match the ARB rear step towbar on mine.

Hi Guys, I got a question but I thought i'd introduce myself first as I have been on Outers but on the Zook side. Vitara Dif Ratios

Hi Guys.

I've got the opportunity to buy a pair of diffs complete with axles with ARB lockers installed (and the front diff is steel :) ). To fit them, worst case I will need to change the front CV's to 26 spline.

I have a 92 LWB with a 4 speed auto gearbox. As near as I can make out, that means I ...

Their catalog said mandatory on newer model, but optional on the older model. Sorry can't remember the years. It could also be becasue the regulations say you can't alter the suspension travel by more than 1/3 of stock, so a suspension lift might break this rule without the bump stops installed. ARB ...

To get the LWB tank in, you'd need some modifications I think. I tried to fit a SWB tank guard to my LWB with no luck. It mounted onto the existing tank mounting brackets. I found the tank is longer front to back on the LWB, so the extra width in the chassis won't help you.

Some people lift the ...

I think you could get away with just advising them of the new serial number. They won't know what they are looking at the counter.
