I know the initial enquiry was for an older model but thought I'd clarify this.
Prado diffs went to 8" from 09/02 on. The 8" diffs are compatible with the 2005-2009 Hilux. However to fit the 8" Prado front diff to the Hilux, you need to also change the fornt diff carrier for ratios of 3.909 and up ...

Luxy, I'm interested, You are the right side of town. PM me a price. I know what you mean, RYNO conned me into a set of Swampers on Mickey Tompson rims which were awesome. Shame they were the ones on the vehicle.....

Hilux questions - Which Rubber?
Hi Guys, I got a question but I thought i'd introduce myself first as I have been on Outers but on the Zook side. However that will change on account of a steering failure on the Cunningham Highway last weekend that speared me head first into the largest gum tree this side of Warwick, followed by a ...

Vitara Dif Ratios
Hi Guys.
I've got the opportunity to buy a pair of diffs complete with axles with ARB lockers installed (and the front diff is steel :) ). To fit them, worst case I will need to change the front CV's to 26 spline.
I have a 92 LWB with a 4 speed auto gearbox. As near as I can make out, that means I ...

Their catalog said mandatory on newer model, but optional on the older model. Sorry can't remember the years. It could also be becasue the regulations say you can't alter the suspension travel by more than 1/3 of stock, so a suspension lift might break this rule without the bump stops installed. ARB ...

Interesting feedback. I'll try not to hijack. I've got a 4 door JLX 4 speed auto that came with 16" rims. So what you are saying is that it I should not have any drama putting 31" tyres on it cos it has the 5.12 diffs. ATM, only got 29" swampers with 15" rims on it 'cos I got them at a ...

It seems nobody has a long range Vitara tank. I spoke to Brown and Davis in Melbourne once and they said the guy who did all the zook tanks had left and they did not know what fitted what but if I dropped in they would be able to sort one out.

Vitara LWB Rated roof Load limit
Hi guys,
Does anybody know what you can carry on a Vitara LWB roof? Thule Bars are rated 75kg (I got a pair), Rhino Rack track mount are rated 80kg, the Calmini 2 door Roof Rack is 200 lb (90kg) and somewhere in the web, I saw that the factory rack could carry 200 kg.
