ifs rears, shacles sitting flat

hi all, just put ifs rears springs and extended shackles into my 90 lux and the shacles are laying flat and the rear of the spring is sitting on the chassis.
Can anyone tell me why it is doing this and what will i need to do to fix it.
I am guessing i will need to relocate the shackle mount

My hilux has a little access hole on the dust plate behind the sump that you can look through and see if it is cracked

i was going to go petrol v8 but had nothing but troubles with my last one in the water and mud and carby troubles on the steep stuff. I know a bloke with a 6.5 turbo in his patrol and the torque is unbelievable but if i cant find one at a decent price i'll just stick with a injected 350 or 400 chev.

Thanks guys, have been driving around for 3 or 4 days with boost gauge but boost has never read on gauge. I just bought a manual boost controller and as soon as i pluged it in and started driving i got a reading on the boost gauge :D . Only reading 6psi at the moment but i might wind it up in a week ...

You will only need one or the other. I ran the mechanical pump on my v8 conversion because i spent most of my time in the mud and tried to have as little electrics as possible.

why not chuck a lsd in the front i had one in the front of my lux and welded centre in the rear and had no worries steering in the bush and still went everywere my mate with air lockers front and rear could.I only paid $100 for lsd
