Re: Hilux Project.

Go the 100 series option. I've been there and done that. You can buy a petrol 100 for a similar price to the 5L dual cab and the money saved from the SAS you can buy a heap of goodies for the 100. You can also go wheeling straight away, no lost time doing the major mods.

Well Bushy, I would be pissed too. I'm on my third set and had no dramas with wear. Great tyres to date. We have all know of bad batches of tyres regardless of the brand. Make sure you investigate this further and demand answers. Big brands should be held accountable for poor quality. Well thats my ...

If you have a compressor try plumbing some air fittings into the dizzy. Run compressed air through it whenever you go offroading.

Stud Pattern?????

Hi all, just want to pick your brains. I just bought a 1999 FZJ105 Cruiser.
I'm looking to source some rims from the States but I don't know the stud pattern or backspacing. The cruiser doesn't turn up for a while otherwise I could have measure them.
Thanks Regards Mick

Supercharger Rebuilders

Hi all. I have (or did have)a TRD supercharger on my 3.4 v6 Hilux.
It recently had a major haemorrage and I was wondering if the wisdom of the Outers forum could steer me in the right direction of a rebuilder. The two needle rollers in the back of the housing let go so the rotors were flopping ...

Good pickup Lockee, I think we all missed the fact that it could not have been too much of an engine fire if the lines are still intact and not melted.
Could be a good buy for someone.

Discovery 2 Parts( looking for a wrecker)

Hi all, just wondering if you can recommend a wrecker in Vic/Tas/ anywhere for Discovery parts. I have an 2003 Disco 2 and need stuff for the rhs such as front guard, headlight, rh mirror, rhr 1/4 panel glass, and rh tailights. Are any other models the same for these bits?
Thanks.

Anybody help with Walker Rims?

Hi all! We are in need of five 17inch Walker Evans beadlock rims ( or similar) to suit a Pootrol so we can run Cliffhanger. New or used or even info on where to track some down. Apparently they are in short supply at the mo.
Any replies much appreciated.

Really happy with my Lux. Fuel is so so , about 520kms per 80litres and I run 35's.
It didn't have any low down power and had to rev the ring out of it so I put a super charger on it. Better on fuel and heaps of power. The engines are fairly bulletproof. The ifs should be alright if you don't get ...

Hi. Yep I supercharged mine about six months ago. As far as power I haven't dynoed it yet but it has heaps more controllable low down which is what I was after plus it will still rev it's head off. Fuel consumption is heaps better, about an extra 50km per tank on the highway, probably because I don ...

Go the supercharger. TRD just bolts on piece of p##s. But don't worry about the 7th injector, get a URD fuel upgrade kit. More ponies and no pinging. But it all depends on how big a project you want.
