they seem yo be a full extension with the car sitting at its norm ride hieght...? wtf? I had this problem few years back with some pro comp shocks turned out to be the wrong size shocks for the lift i had.Ended up ripping the the tops off the towers!I was a little nieve back then and didnt realise ...

more than likley its a seal in the master or slave cylinder on its way out.
relativley easy job to do just a prick to bleed back up again.

yep it has a pcv valve on one side and the filler cap has the breather built in holes anyway

i thought the breather hose pluged into the bottom of the air filter housing!
but mine was connected to the bottom of the carby(holley 350)
where should it be connected?

have recentley moved the breather hose to above the butterfly in the carb,it used to be connected to the manifold vaccum under the butterfly.
might move it back and see how it goes.

probly worn motor but

4.4l oil probs

howdy

i have oil squirting out of the oil filler cap.

there must be some preesure there cause theres oil over the fuse box(79 rangie)

i have absolutley no idea what could cause this so any suggestions on what to check out first would be appreciated.

just removed the unit and having troubles with the second serclip so cant check the gears yet,but have removed a chewed up bearing case and a few ballbearings.Ill need to buy a larger set of serclip pliers tommora to check the rest. hmmm guess i'll remove and inspect.
the idea of running 35s and stock gearing sounds the go though,ive read the overdrives dont like to much touque and its common for them to overheat.

hey guys, just bought a 79 2 door rangie with a p76 4.4l with an overdrive fitted.LT95 turns out the overdrive unit has been cooked and is a bit noisey.(sounds like the gears are getting chewed up) is it possible to remove this unit and change the gear ratio in the transfer case? i would like to run ...

yeh mate the arm moved aprox 60mm back and fourth,i thought the same as you the motor's coming out!Im glad i ended up trying the one man bleeding system,saved me hours of work!
