My brother put one of these on his rice burner and he bought a premade loom and all the sensor off some guy who assemblys the kits and seems to hold a lot of the parts in stock.
I can chase down a phone number if you want

electronic ignition - 18R
I just bought an 82 Hilux ute and it has an 18R engine in it. Anyone changed theirs over to electronic ignition? What did you use?
I changed my Rangie to electronic ignition and it made a world of difference so I would rather do that than keep changing points/
Cheers

Re: ...
I have been wary of this since day dot.....
Just look at the TTC carpark a lot of cars had 50mm plus lifts mine included and no doubt 90% without engineers approval.
This raises an interesting point. When if come time to try and appeal something like this you can only go on statistics ...

When I bought my Rangie I could not get any of the wheel nuts off. We tried a breaker bar with a 1.5m peice of bar on the end with a fat mate bouncing on it. We had soaked them with wd40 and no go. We left them overnight with a good soaking of more WD40 and still couldn't get them off even with the ...

Falcon Fans - anyone gone the whole radiator?
I know a few people have put in the EL falcon fans and shrouds on the STD rangie radiator. Has anyone put in the falcon radiator or know if it will fit. My radiator is marginal and brand new falcon radiators are cheap as chips. I am putting in a different engine so the inlets and outlets are not ...

Re: torque
I had a P76 fitted earlier in the year. It had been rebuilt using holden pistons about sixty thou oversize, which we worked out made the engine approx 4.6L, stage 1 cam and 350 holley, 2.25 single exhaust with the later style manifolds - not extractors.

A friend of mine is running a 1UZ-FE and he get about 225 hp at the rear wheels but it has an aftermarket computer, extractors and a lot less driveline losses.
The dyno guys said to allow another 15% loss roughly for being a 4x4 and a bit less for the std stuff so hopefully I can get the 150 hp at ...

How much power do you have
I am pulling my 3.5 Rover V8 out this weekend to make way for a 1UZ-FE tojo engine. I thought it would be good to know how much gain there will be so I put it on a dyno this afternoon.

What type of Trailer - cost
I am looking at buying a car trailer to cart customers/my vehicles around. I am looking at one that is made by "Just Trailers". Anyone had any dealings with them?

Just because you are meeting the ADR doesn't mean you can go ahead with the mod. The state regs still take precedence.
It's a bit of a catch 22. If you were to recertify the vehicle as a new vehicle at a federal level you can do what you wnat but you have to recertify the whole vehicle to all ADR ...

When a vehicle is first released to the market it must comply with the ADR's. There is a max height requirement within the ADR's but that is not low enough to effect lifts. One of the first problems is that there are limits for the heights of lights and lifting a vehicle can put your lights over the ...

Swamper - radial vs bias
How do the radial and bias ply swamper compare to each other for on road driving? Looking at buying a set but not sure which one.
I understand the bias is better of road but worse on road. This is fair enought but how much worse?
Should I keep these as off road tyres only.

On your way back come through Gympie and go to Widgee Crossing. This is a spot that has a very pebbly base that you can cross the Mary River (excluding when there is lots of rain). The crossing slopes down gradually as you go upstream so you can nose your truck upstream and drive as deep as you want ...

This is a bit of a tricky one. There has to be a bit of give and take with time and advice given. From my end, don't ring up and piss in our pockets about what you 'might' do if you win the lotto. Be realistic about what you are going to do and the time frame. Like all businesses time is precious ...
