How about turbo 383, running on BBQ Gas (LPG)
Big power, Good economy, but I'm thinking around $14k plus gas kit for the donk
The V8 would have to be more $$$, unless you build a 160kw+ td42 ( at the treads.)
Having said that, you made me think long and hard about parting with my Wagon and grabbing ...

If the pinion is set up correctly so the coils are running straight up as they should be than you wont have any problems.
I have seen issues when the pinion is not corected and the polyairs are rubbing more on one side of the coil/ mounts and this wears the bags faster.

The new poly airs have a ...

You were buying shitty steel rims.
Majority of alloy wheels will bend (and then buckle/crack, requiring repair) well before a quality steel rim will.

Is this based on personal experience ?
Which alloys have you bent ?
I ran Outlaw 1 piece alloys for 10 years, and never bent or damaged one.
Why ...

Re: Boost gauge

If it is the nylon type tubing ( like semi flexible plastic)
Cut it where you want. just make sure you can re-use whichever kind of fittings you have
In some, the brass "olive" which creates the seal inside the fitting crushes to seal to the tubing, making them a single use item.

If you mean the standard 17" rims that came on the GU4's You would be looking around :

33/12.5/17 Baja MTZ's $370 each
285/70/17 Pro Comp M/T xtreme $420 each

I have the MTZ's and reckon they are the ducks guts, although they wear quickly if you put big loads on them.

The setup with the Triple Bypass Fox Shock custom installed by ATS is somewhere in the order of $8-9K
