GQHoon & Toughnut - Sorry to hear the bad news !! Sure is a tough comp ! I'll be more than happy to see our team "Hulk" finish the mud bath and water run tonight without carnage - wonder how well they'll "float"? I'm sure looking forward to seeing you HOON Ladies next year! Also looking forward to ...

Mrs Hoon #1 & #2 - Sorry to hear the Hoon boys can't get up and running - what a shame! Here's hoping they find & fix the problem and can get moving again. Everyone puts so much time effort and $$$$ into this event and it's great to see people supporting each other. Big thumbs up to Dennis and crew ...

It took about 8 phone calls to get this info (kept on dropping out) but here's the latest from The Hulk. Graeme and Jeff, along with the rest of the field, gathered at HQ today (Silverton?) to do three different stages - all fast runs through creeks/gullies with sand, "bloody big" rocks and a water ...

OK Mrs GQHOON ... Here's what I know. Apparently the 1st event today (a Nav Run) was used to determine the starting order of the subsequent stages. One of our Spec's commented that Team Hoon were amongst the last of the vehicles to start the Warn Winch events - therefore they must have performed ...

Apparently Group B had quite a few winch failures today on the Warn Hi Mount and Low Mount stages - about 4 or 5 in total, including the Kiwi cruiser which now has a PTO winch which is FUBAR ! However, in the true spirit of mateship and cooperation which exists amongst many of us in the 4wd ...

Hi Guys & Gals - Just got a quick update from Jeff in "The Hulk" - a bit sketchy but here goes. They completed 3 stages today, the 1st was a GPS run and Hulk was well under DNF time !! 2 Winch stages, the 1st - "Hulk" did "OK" but picked up a winching penalty cos Jeff tripped and stepped over the ...

OK ! Just heard from the Spectator convoy as they passed through mobile coverage on their way back to camp (just outside Broken Hill). Contrary to my previous advice, Graeme and Jeff (in THE HULK) are in GROUP B – along with some event veterans such as Kim Bolton, Cass Jones and Roger Smith. After f ...

OK, I'm sorry that I can't relay any exact details, BUT, I can convey that "The Hulk" (and crew) are currently headed for Poolamacca (Group A). Stages 2 and 3 saw a fair bit a carnage in the OS Rangie crews but our boys are still hanging in there !. Word on the weather is that it's BLOODY COLD at ...

Stage 2 (Prologue in the Quarry) is complete. Stage 3 is essentially the same course but on a slightly diffent line (apparently!). THE HULK ran a conservative 3:58 (DNF 5:00) - the fastest rigs ran low 3:00's. I don't have any Official Placings to hand as yet - I'm expecting a detailed update ...

Great work on the updates "live in the field" - it's brilliant ! I'm following the crew of Graeme and Jeff driving "The Hulk" - A Rangie/Defender hybrid powered by a turbo-charged 4.1 ford donk. If anyone on the ground has Pic's (or general gossip) then I'd be really pleased to see them on this ...
