i havent got much downward travle but am planning on modifying the bumpstops by making it shorter without cutting the rubber bumpstops

i pulled a landcruser out of the mud and he had it all lockers all the stuff i want.then i went through the same mud he got stuck in no problems.

how do i know how far i can wind up my torsion bars on my 1991 rocky? have wound them up some but want more.can i wind them up till i get to the end of the thread?? i am not sure how much i have wound them up so any help would be gr8.
