Hey thanks 'New' I'm leaning away from the bearing now 'cause the noise isn't there all the time... could be very wrong there?? Might start with the belt etc, and see what happens from there. Although, i guess while it's apart, should do the bearing at the same time, just in case  Thanks again

I'm sorry if my questions seem too simple for you all to pay any attention to, but i've contacted toyota in an attempt to locate a genuine part and they want to sell me the whole pully etc. Is it possible to just get the bearing alone? Will i have to take it out first and try a bearing shop? Any ...

What made you decide to go reco rather than engine swap? i want to hang on to the little beastie as long as i can, still a heap of exploring to do and i like it's size off-road, so i thought the better long term option was to reco. i know there are plenty of success stories with the applause swap ...

yeah, i've been puting off doing the o2 sensor til i had the extractors fitted. i've been quoted approx $400 to supply and fit some hurricanes with some flex and a bracket. don't think the guy i spoke to on the phone is the one who'll be fitting them. i'll have a chat to them on sat morning and make ...

MRT are best for DIY - come ready to bolt on with flex and gearbox mount. If you can see before you buy they'd be worth a look. I've got Hurricanes and am still very happy with them. david, how did you go fitting in the flex bellows with the hurricanes?? do you still have the gearbox mount?? thanks ...

extractors ??
hey all, sorry to visit a well worn topic again, but i just have a couple of questions... * as mentioned previously, apart from mild power loss and oil usage the current original engine i have is going ok, and i might milk it for a while longer, rather than prematurely swap it now. but i am thinking ...

thanks heaps for all the help/advice... i'll do some investigating re. the applause swap. thinking along the lines of new motor now, i've been giving her a little bit more abuse. whatever is wrong with it, it can't be too bad at the moment. they seem to really like to rev out and have a great feel ...

hey all, finally had a chance to jump under the roza today and check for 'the rattle'. the top of the right rear shock was loose and was 'click clacking' around when i moved it. was the same noise i have been hearing for the last few weeks. tightened it up... noise gone. shocks otherwise seem ok ...

My bet is it's your shackle and eye bushes squeaking. Mine were doing the same (when bouncing up and down on the tow bar) until a liberal dose of silicone spray fixed them. ;) yeah i figured the squeaking would be a little less critical, it's more the rattle i'm worried about. i'll try and get on ...

thanks for the advice... i've just changed the front pads and they were stuffed so i guess it would be wise to have a look at the rear brakes also... the ride up the back seems ok. it's a hard ride but i thought that was par for the course with the leafs in the roza. for what it's worth, when i jump ...
