G'day Ray. I had alloy ones on my 60 and they don't come loose. Checked them a few times first up but now they only get checked when I have to take a wheel off.

I have a S/C on a 2.2 4y efi and yes it was a lot of stuffing around to set it up. Saying that though it was well worth it. The big advantage is being able to turn it off and on at will. On a mechanically injected diesel I would put a turbo on it if I were you.

the GQ diffs are much, much stronger...
You do this to get an LSD in the front.
An MQ/K rear diff hemisphere is the same as a gq front so strength isn't the issue. You are only using the hemisphere noth the whole centre. you retain the GQ pinion and crownwheel.

MQ LSD rear into GQ front (I remember now)

I have done this conversion. You need to remove the MQ crown wheel of it's lsd hemisphere and fit the GQ crownwheel to it. All you need to do is re-drill the holes in the hemisphere to suit the GQ crownwheel. I had an engineer do it because the holes are slighty missaligned and the GQ bolts are ...

1 piece shafts as far as i know have to be made and balanced properly, thats pretty much the going rate. if you make one half assed then it will do more damage to rear pinion and gbox than you would like. otherwise watch the classifieds on here, i think there was one for sale recently. Yea there ...
